Would it be cheating to use the forward facing of the pill-box as cover, since the autocannon can't depress far enough to shoot somebody directly underneath it?
The plan would be for somebody to take a grenade, run up to the pillbox via its blind spot, and roll the grenade or two through the firing slot. The resulting explosion should be contained by the structure (between AP 16 to 32 vs 2d10 damage from the grenade).

Prolly need to cook the 'nades for a few seconds to make sure they stay in the bunker, but it sounds like a good plan.

Cheating? You can't 'cheat' when fighting heretics.

I was thinking about that. It occurred to me that I'm not sure Darien would know how long a grenade's timer would be -- on the one hand, he's a cop, and cops don't generally use frag grenades.
On the other hand, he's Adeptus Arbites, so he's closer to a SWAT or the FBI HRT than a regular police officer.

It's worth noting that the IIUP says standard Imperial frag grenades are adjustable in time. You could just twist until it points to '1' on the seconds counter, rather than cooking it. I expect Darien has training too, though either of the guardsmen certainly do.
In any case, it's just ballistic skill.

yes, kil-kil-kil, death to the heretics, and I want something nice and flashy.

Well, you guys have flash-grenades. Is that good enough?

The rulebook says that no special training is required for grenades, just ballistic skill, so Imperial frag grenades probably come with labels and instructions such as "pull pin" and "throw this at enemy."

God, someone mischievous with a Sharpie could kill so many Guardsmen by swapping a few frag grenade labels around...

It's probably stamped into the shell of the grenade to save throne gelt on the cost of ink. You know how anal the Munitorium is.

I'm so tempted to have you go to a grenade factory and investigate who did that, at some point in the future, now.

Hrm. I can see it now; a fully loaded group of Accolytes battleing cultists of the daemon "Taelulz" in a factory filled with explosives. No way that could go wrong at all, no siree.

Incidentally, you folks have found a decent chainsword. Though I didn't actually plan for that. I wonder who might soon have the option of melee weapon training chain *Eyes Scar...*

I want that knife! Imagine the...stuff...a Techpriest could do with a shiney mono-knife. Why, I could cut and carve things with more precision, maybe attatch it to the end of my Lascarbine and learn to be an Armorer, or build some exotic mechadendrite contraption that shoots knives!

Apologies, that was meant to be a full auto burst, which I think would make it 5 or 6 hits if it's 3 with semi-auto, so 3 on each or 3 on the closest and 2 on the one not so close, though if I'm mistaken on that 2 on the closest and one on the farther. Yes, I'd like the chainsword unless anyone's significantly better with close combat weapons, since I seem to find myself in the thick of the fighting most of the time

Well, with your BS of 45, and rolling a 14, you get...
Semi-Auto 'hits at' 55 so you pass by 41, giving you an initial hit plus four degrees of success, thus, two extra hits.
Full-Auto 'hits at' 65 so pass by 51, which is still only two sets of two degrees of success, generating two extra hits.

For some reason I'd thought it was one per degree of success with full auto, ah well, you have my target assignments.

Ahah.
*Rolls a d10*
Well in that case, the surplus hit on the heretek just makes him even more wounded (1 wound now, pretty close to critical).
Also... Did you actually take extra explosive collars with you on your person?

A quick lookup reveals you are indeed carrying them. I congratulate you on your foresight...

Yeah that made more sense to me, sending out at least twice as many shots, should make for more hits. Anyhow, what's the interior look like as far as possible places for enemies to come from?

Ajax is, indeed, carrying some too. Because you never know when you might want a portable remote-controlled guillotine.

Wow, I'm a lousy shot.
Oh well, next level I can pick up shockmauls, hopefully I can beg borrow or steal one.
