So, there's two of you. One is, what was it? The librarian? And the other is Rick James. Sweet.

Mine, on the other hand, really is my girlfriend, slightly edited from a Valentine's Day card she made for me last year.

Usually, my avatars represent my favorite characters. The ones I've used so far are:

-Sinclair (as Ranger One) - B5
-Ben Kenobi (from ANH)
-Spock (from ST:III)

But now, I've decided to stick to my namesake.

I will never use my real picture for my avatar, for if you were to look upon my face in its true form, you would go quite mad.

When I read that post, I just had this REALLY strange mental image of a bloated, squid-like Elder God hunched over a computer tpying on to SDnet :P

Just from memory, I'd say in his house in R'lyeh dead Cthulhu lies dreaming. Am I close?

As for the avatar, it's currently a photo of the plush Scabbers from Harry Potter. Most of my avatars are rats of some sort.
I prepared Explosive Runes today.

Almost all people here will instantly recognaze my avatar (it's the emblem of the Brotherhood of Nod from the Command & Conquer computer game for the select few who do not).

I chose it because
1) I'm a C&C fan.
2) It looks both cool and evil at the same time .

No, I do not have long hippy hair. Nor do I have a beard. Nor am I a venerable Jedi master, though I expect I'd make a good one given a chance to shine.

Why did I pick it? I honestly thought it was the coolest one there. Liam Neeson looks so goofy - yet cool as well - that it screamed "Me!" The second choice was Ackbar with his arms on his hips looking serious.

Essentially both look rediculous, and that's why I chose Qui-gon.

Not quite that bad, I just don't take a very good picture.
