It's a bit like having a fistfight with Satan, really. There's a few weirdos out there who worship him, he is constantly used as an example of ultimate evil (stupidity), and his story shocks and frightens noobs (children).
DarkStar. You must confront DarkStar. Only then, a flamewarrior will you be. [/Yoda]

You're just splitting hairs-- particularly considering that the DS most likely blows up planets by simply stimulating the natural process by which planets explode when their internal fusion-processes reach critical-mass, so it's the same thing, i.e. causing the nuclei to simultaneously fuse.

Try getting your facts straight before you accuse others of not having theirs. It's common knowledge in contemporary astrophysics, that planets can spontaneously explode (ala Ceti Alpha VI in STII)
Notice all the fringe discussion when it gets to "mechanism"- not widely recognized, and a main page that asserts there's "something wrong" with astronomy.

BTW, can someone with the ROTJ novelisation quickly check if Leia's arm getting hurt near the bunker is described, and post the relevant quote?

Sure

Oh my god, I hope that Bargara doesnt find his way there because at that point I think that the stupidity of the morons at that forum will reach a critical mass, resulting in an explosion that will make the entire damn server blow up (though, that would wipe some of them out...)

I think he watches too much ST2...and believes it's fact.
The quote doesn't give enough info, whether the bolt directly hit her arm, scraped it, exploded alongside it, etc. It just says that the bolt 'hit'
her arm, which could account for scraping as well.
Looks like I win , I'm the first to have a complete thread.
Not that it was hard to say that no material doors, banana phasers and exploding consoles are stupid anyway. I'll leave the quantatitive analysis to the more accomplished, and stick to the qualitative for now.
