I can't think of any, unless of course you aren't paying attention and don't notice that Palpy is Sideous. Even then, it was never really hush-hush, and though it wasn't expressly revealed in Ep2, it's in the damn trailer for Ep3, so it doesn't count. I'm sure 'son' is just a term of endearment as well, I'm just wondering if there's anything else we're missing.
If Lucas doesn't want us to know about it. I'm sure he has it covered up so no one will. We will have to wait for Episode III. Hell, only like... 3 or 4 people knew that Vader said "Luke, I am your father."

No he isn't. He's saying "Get Down!"

Btw, just a side note, but still interesting. I noticed in the pictures of the trailer in the background the typical imperial style illuminating system on starships.

It is picture #19.
Interesting little thing to adapt the style of the OT.

Oh man, I just realised that Lucas is continuing the occasional evocations of Riefenstahl's Triumph of the Will with RotS. The two shots at 1:40-1:43 (particularly the first) of Anakin leading the Clonetroopers is like something right out of Nuremberg...

They had build a 800km DS to 60% in 6 months, so why 18! years for a 160km one? Of course that could be only the test model (we know they have build at least one) of it. Also design and developing the design for the real construction will take time.
I hope that not becomes some huge contraidiction of known facts.
The simplest explaination is that at the end of the Clone Wars, Palpatine didn't have the control nor the resources that he had at theight of the Empire.
On top of that, he had to keep this a complete secret from the Senate. With the DSII he didn't have to worry about the Senate finding out.

OMFG that trailer was fucking amazing!!!
Palpatine's going to steal this one I can tell. His line deliveries we perfect.
Some of my favorite moments:
- Anakin marching with a company of Stormtroopers, the marching steps were so eerie.
- The "sinking" of the
Invisible Hand, it envoked images of ships sinking our naval battles.
- Palpatine throwing freakin
Senate Pods at Yoda!!
And
everything else!
I really can't think of anything that really irked me (other than maybe
Venators being the only Republic cap ship in the film. . .).

No, not at all. It's possibly one of the most powerful shots in the trailer, really.

Ok cool, just wasnt sure. I was gonna say because I have triumph of the will and despite it being Nazi propaganda its top notch stuff from a visual filmmaking perspective, especially for something from 1934.

That was quality. I'm still doubtful about the film--I've been burned by bad movies with good trailers before--but that was a quality trailer.

Well, at least it's safe to say that Lucas knows how to make compelling movie trailers.

From the background and Obi-Wan's face I'm assuming it's Obi-Wan vs Darth Vader (pre suit).

I saw it yesterday, WOW!
It looked absolutely spectacular, dare we hope for the ESB of the new trillogy?
I really hope this one will be much better than the other two prequells.

Something cool I just noticed; at about 0:47 you see a clone trooper starfighter (maybe bomber) been blown up, the clonetroopers actually survive the explosion and are flung out into space (right hand side of screen). By 'survive' I mean their armor is still intact, they could very well be dead, but their armour appears to have held up really well.

You're correct. An image of the model used for that shot was shown in the Before the Helmet feature a few months ago.

The complaints about the Emperor looking crap seem hollow with this trailer. The Emperor cackling as he tosses Senate pods at Yoda was awesome, as we the way he looked when he says that "every Jedi is now an enemy of the Republic."
And the new Clonetroopers kick arse. Even though I've seen them before in publicity shots, it really takes a trailer to show up exactly how cool the new helmets are.
But still ... the use of a blue lightsabre by a Sith just ... irks me.

No one's come out and said it yet, so I'm going to.
I think Lucas knew what he was doing with Episode III. You have to know this part of the story to tell the OT. You don't need to know where Anakin came from or anything about what happens in AOTC (except for the political machinations) in order to make the OT. As such, I think Episodes I and II suffered from simply not having congealed in Lucas's head for years and years. This story, however, is the one he really wanted to tell with the PT and this story is, consequently, going to kick serious ass.

Actually, for one it makes sense, and for another, I think it's great that he's using a blue lightsaber. It just makes it hit that hard that the jedi fucked up, big time.
Personally, the thing that irks me most is Palpy and Yoda using lightsabers. Yes, I have no problem with them using it sometimes, but these are the fucking proverbial badasses of the entire Star Wars universe, their control of the force is unmatched even by Anakin. They should be able to control the force in ways we have never even thought possible. Their fights should practically be beyond the use of lightsabers as they are "Primitive and silly".
For example, when Palpy takes out those Jedi in his office, I want him to slice down only one, then use his incredible force powers to throw one out of his window and then maybe, I dunno, make the other one's head explode or something amazing. Then have to duel Windu because Windu is that fucking good with a lightsaber. For Palpy vs. Yoda I want Lightsabers to be used sparingly if at all. I want the force battle to end all force battles.

Did you miss the senate chamber scene? Or Yoda's "OH SHIT!" look when Palps zaps him with Force-lightning?
