On issues of parfromance, i have 2.13ghz AMD Athlon, 1GB Ram and a Radeon 9600 and it's playing just fine on the strategic map. In battle there's a little bit of lag, but nothing major, but this is on default settings. I haven't checked to see if they're the lowest yet though.

Hmm. What I have is slightly better than that, and the demo's performance for me is simply awful. Perhaps the full game is more optimized than the demo. Or are you just running at 800 x 600?

Are you running Demo 1 or the Gold demo? There is a large differance.

Did you change the graphic detail level? The settings you can change when you hit ESC in the game from the campaign or battle screens are different from the settings you can change at the main menu.

Review's up an IGN. 8.8 out of 10.
Apparently there's some bugs with Pope system, which sounds even more fucked than the problems I had with the Senate.

Well that's weird. A comparison of the graphics settings showed that medium was lower than the deault auto detect settings so i set it to medium to try and get a slightly better performance in battle. Now i crash on the strategic map, and not just the game crshing, the entire computer locks up. Windows auto-mated error reporting says it's my graphics card and that i should download the latest drivers (done already) or mannualy decrease my hardware acceleration. I'm going to go all out and set it on low graphics, but if tat doesn't does ayone know how to change the hardware acceleration thing?

2000AD: It's probably talking about going into control panel > display > settings > advanced. On my nvidia card, it is then located in the troubleshoot tab. It may not be the same on your card.
There will be a hardware acceleration slider, which has multiple stages. However, reducing from full to anything below will require a restart. Going back to full will also require a restart. I doubt that it will do much too help you however, it is worth a try. Try going downwards in stages. Although, even if it does stop your crashing, I doubt it'll do your frame rate any good. The game may not even start.

So has anyone got the collector's edition with the "making of..." DVD, the score on CD and other niceties? I'd buy the game now, but there's no way I'll be running it on half a gig of RAM and a piffling Radeon 9200SE. I need an upgrade.

You'd buy the collector's edition for me and send it for free? Cheers. That saves me going to my local GAME and purchasing it instead (which would mean money out of my account, and we all know how much I hate doing that).
