Say are there any good images of the Rebulic's Stardestroyer out?

I think the one on the toy box and the model itself is the best (clearest) so far. =\

Dang! I read some where that the design is like a cross between the republic crusier in TPM and an ISD. That's sounds um..different .

From what I could see of the box, the ship seems to be very narrow. Its looks even less like a Star Destroyer then the Acclumator's did.

The Imp's are dagger-blades, the Ven's are daggers and the hilt. :P

The only things that bug me about the design are the anorexic midsection and the twin pod bridge structure. The former really seems to be a natural weak point in the ship, with those two side hangar apertures along with the traditional ventral opening. The Legacy SD fan design has a plan form I wish was adopted in this design.

And the double pods are a bit annoying.

The double pods left me cold the minute I saw them. Still, ain´t too bad if it´s used in a swarm, as the film will show. Hopefully the start of the battle, shown in CW season 3, will show additional designs (as well as easter-eggs in the movie itself).

Is this ship supposed to be the forerunner for the ISD?

Yup. Came out before the Victory, I believe. While Rendili was busy copying aspects of the Acclamators into the Victory-program, the subsidiary of Kuat were making Venators to be the first, true Star Destroyers.

So the Victory class would come out after the clone-wars. Wouldnt it be hard for the newly elected emperor to start producing a new class of warships after the end of the clone-wars?

No VSD1 is clone war product (VSD2 was designed during the clone wars, but only few were built before it ended) Vendator is probaly designed after VSD1 it seem to better at fleet combat.

Considering he seems to have significant sway over the Senate anyway (evidenced by the overwhelming applause when he announces the Empire), I doubt he'd have too much trouble passing a new design.

Aside from that, the Imperator class was something of a scandal when first developed, IIRC.

it was About 1 000 000 000 credits over budget (IIRC), but other I don't recall problems with the design.

So the Vic was in action during the war? Does that mean that it will be seen in RotS?

it's from website so take fuck load of salt and 1 million credits ain't that much in galactic scale (and also if the Emperor OKs the project there's not much the Senate can do about it (this is pre-ANH after all)).

A billion credits you mean. The emperor arent so forgiving, remember what happened to Lemelisk. The emperor may need some more training on soul transfering.

I´m still not getting any response from the spoilerhounds about what ship Vader and Palpatine are on at the end of the film. They made an ISD bridge, it´s possible some continuity will be shifted and we get them right after the CW ends...

I´ve seen the trailer now. Poorly lit, Spanish dubjob, taken from a Peruvian theatre.

I´m surprised I actually saw anything at all.

The Juggernaut shoots missiles(?), some sort of gunships over a Kashyyykian lake, the Tantive IV heading for Coruscant(?), Palpatine screeching as he attacks Mace and co. And Vader in suit at the end. Lots of talking. In Spanish. :P
