Artus stood on a chair, and tapped a glass until he had everyone's attention.

"Ladies and Gentlemen, I apoligize for disrupting your evening in this fashion, but I have been ordered by my government to make this announcement. Three hours ago, forces loyal to the Krynor Empire attempted to invade and set up a pupper government in the Free Republic of Jardan. Elements of the Hajr's 3rd War Cluster supported the loyalist forces in removing the invaders. The Krynor Empire's continious violence and brutal expansionism has gone too far. In the interests of the safety of our people, and those under the boot of Krynor oppression, the Hajr has pledged to remove the Goa'ould from all systems they have conquered over the past two months- including Camaro and Vivel-4. Their reign of terror can no longer go on unabated. We have tried diplomacy, to no avail- now, it appears the language of force must be used."

As he spoke, lightyears away over Camaro, Bondman Subadmiral Atja su Miitgar gave a simple order-

"Fire."

Ouster fire rained down on the planet, and goa'oudl forces scrambled from neaby systems to respond.

[Goa'ould forces]
Swarms of ground fighters
Defensive stations
5 battle carries
5 motherships

The goa'ould fleet and statiosn returned fire, and fighters streaked in.

Goa'ould reinforcments arrived in-system, the fleet rushing back from Jardan, found a new target for it's guns. JOined by a pair of incideratior crusers from Sparta, the arrived behind the ouster fleet and raised their no-FTL net, trapping them between the fleet and the planet.

The second goa'ould fleet opens fire.

"Oh, but the Ousters taking away planets we have held for MONTHS dosn't count as interfering with a sovern power? We were not interfering with a sovern goverment as we don't recognize a coup as a legimate way of changing governments!"

General Niven spoke quietly to the Crown Prince.

"You see, they can't. Do you know what it takes to run a smooth landing operation nowadays? Fleets of ships to guard the sytem, and escort the transports down, time to land the initial logistical support for the troops, enough support in space to make sure your supply lines are never cut, and then you must hope and pray with abandon that you can peacefully pacify any major urban centers you control. As the former covenant worlds show, that is hardly easy even when they capitulate to you."

The military prince massaged his temples.

"War? As far as anything on Earth is concerned there is no war right now. If any power acts against this, however, that will be considered a declaration of war against Monacora, do you all understand? Good, now come on, the buffet is very well stocked..."

-/ooc- Old bean, you've only held this system for a month or so, and it's low tech world. I think it's safe to say it's planetary defenses ar slim at best.

Subadmiral Atja almost laughed as he saw the incoming signatures. Ten cruiser-sized warships- no escorts. The fleet turned, running back from the planet slightly- the planet's guns were less accurate at these ranged. His ships opened fire at long range, Kincaid torpedoes flashing across the distance at FTL speeds. The Ha'taks, lacking an escort screen to assisst them in shooting down missiles, began to rock with explosions as the torpedoes exploded spectacularly against their shields. The agile Ouster ships danced outside of energy range, sending a steady stream of projectiles into the outgunned enemy vessels.

A swarm of fighters burst from the fleet's Attack Carriers, spiralling towards the enemy Ha'Taks. Each vessel held an Ouster pilot, adept in the realm of 3-dimensional space combat, brains plugged in to the performance enhancing battle computers. The space superiority fighters focused on occupying the enemy fighters, while a task group of heavy bombers dived towards the enemy carriers.

++Thirdfan, can you post EXACTLY what ships you have there?++

The goa'ould, now posessing the advantage of firepower, press the assult as waves of bombers from the fleet and fighters from the surfase engage the ousters at point blank range, while the defensive stations and captial ships pound them from afar.

The damaged ship dropped back into realspace in the wake of the fleet, the self-destruct announcing it's countdown.

At three seconds, the countdown stopped. The three Replicators now toiling on the ship had pulled the control crystals to help assemble a Secondary Programmer. The Gou'ald fleet, now long gone and entering battle, had no idea. The Programmer, coming online, interfaced with the ship and began to survey it's situation.

We wish to negoate. We will surrender Carmaro and Vivel-4 to you if you aggree to stay out of our affairs from now on, and allow us to evacuate our personel first.

"Captian, the self distruct has stopped."
"Open fire."

The entire fleet pounds the damaged cruser into dust, once it's totaly distroyed, the ships pick up the fragments and hurl them into the nearest sun.

Enter the Vykos

The Castle of Mirrors drifted slowly just outside the Vykos system. It was very quiet, as the inner council-room was currently in use by the Ivory Lady and 2 other illusions. One figure, covered in filthy torn clothing spoke out of hood of rags, in quiet wispers:

"These metal magicians look oddly familiar, yet altogether different. They have technology that would confuse the wisest of crows. I think we should wait and watch their actions."

Another figure, covered from shoulders to toe in a heavy plate mail made of bone held under him a helmet consisting of an expanded skull, crowned with spiraled ribs encompassing a still beating heart. His words shook the mighty hall:

"They can be nothing but trouble. These odd mages should be cut down by our swords and swept under our reavers, just like the others."

Now it was the Ladie's turn. Covered in a long flowing white robe, her voice was nothing short of beauty, but covered in knowledge and cunning:

"The OTHERS? Ahh, you must mean the war that cost our entire nation half of its resources and unlives, or have you forgotten a mere 30 years later? Perhaps we are to sacrifice everything we own so that you may get another helm to add to your already hefty armament?"

Such bickering continued for hours, until the Ragman finally left, having already taken it upon himself what to do. He forced the Castle of Mirrors to drop its cloak of illusions, standing as a proud beacon of welcome diplomacy. The Lady was a little distraught, but she knew that she was fully capable of taking care of her own city.........

OOC: OOB is posted. This is my first STGOD. I'd hate to be a newb and ask you to read both posts and tell me what you think..........but read and tell me what you think.

The hell we can't, were not surrendering these planets unless we have some assurance that these are the last ones.

All over the empire (except for Gamma site), ships head towards the planet.
