Nope, my missiles are tube-launched or fired from deployable missile pods. It's much cheaper, as they can do double-duty firing STL and FTL rounds.

My 'Squadrones' *whaps Third for the nickname* Will have to acquire conventional FTLtech for their missiles....B5 JPgens aren't exactly easy to miniaturize that far, and I think the mods would HURT me if I tried to use that style of hyperdrive on them in any case. After all, jump-point splash can be more destructive than most warheads. :)

OK. So the Sabai also use them. Still much rarer then the the externally launched variety.

I stay in the external launched missile corner. Not using hyperspace of course, but still ftl missiles :P

The launchers are capable of launching all three kinds of missiles, making them individually larger than one might for a dedicated launcher, but it makes up for it in flexibility...

Nephtys unless your trying to reach my cruiser/escort group thats getting smacked and thankfully saved by a three suns group I suggest you head to the WESTERN half of the galaxy, Thirteen Republics space is out *points his finger* that way.

Did Phongn Stickie the new map?

Corsair ships use 'internally launched' warheads, but calling them true missiles is stretching it. It's more a case of depth charges being dropped into your region of space via Displacer. Of course, just as my Fields lose traction in interdiction fields, if someone's anti-missile interdicting, it'll screw my firing solutions.

Cabwi, it's the Provincal Fleet, not the Provisional Fleet.

Okay, Ace. There's your reply. I was rather waiting for you to actually show up before finding you, but whatever. :P

Tycho? Perhaps I missed something, but what precisely are you attacking?

I dunno, but I think I finally found test subjects for my infantry boarders.

A rather primitive xenos vessel found near Imperium space. I posted about it a month or so ago.

This looks like a common question, and I searched through the thread for an answer. But is there any set building rules for new construction? Aside from 'not too much, or you get the foot of MOD?'

I don't suppose the cloak frigates I sent out there in the wake of the whole fiasco with mass landings on those former colony worlds near the beginning would have much of a chance of being nearby? :P

By the time you get there, you'll just find some random debris. If you even know where to look, and you wouldn't have any reason to look, anyways.

Tychu, several powers went a-wandering to your space and would notice such. Don't be ridiculous; it takes time to take a ship, and some of our vessels are very, very fast.

I don't remember how many I sent, but I do know that the numbers were low (might have been just one) and they were primarily ordered to keep an eye on the planets you had invaded and stay out of sight. Might want to just wait on a mod for that one, but in the meantime, what sort of ship is launching these boarding pods, just so I know what a frigate would do if it were to witness this?

It's a destroyer, IIRC, and this is deep space, hardly near any of my worlds, nor any that I invaded.

but this constitution appears to blatantly ignore one of the key issues; this document, I fear, would be a harsh insult to the Gorn Loyalists
InnocentBystander. What issue is "blatantly ignored" by this proposal.

Simple, suffrage. You've got "commoners" voting people into power all over the place in that model. Read the very first point from the original document.
Gorn Loyalists wrote:General suffrage clears the way for the tyranny of the masses, and the honorable Gorn nation will not be sidled with the Human ideal of "egalitariansim," when it is clear to one and all that not all individuals are equal.
Senator Wellton wrote:Council of Citizens;

Vanas, you let unidentified ships get as close as 100km? Not a wise move, that's knife-fight range. If they turnd hostile, you'd be gutted with a particle beam before you had time to thumb the shield controls...

Yes, 100km is "Oh my GOD where gonna crash!" range in here :)

I would but for two reasons: 1: hThey don't really know the correct protocols for this sort of thing and b) Cabwi let an unidentified guy get to within 900m, let alone 100km. In comparison I'm in a bastion of safety.
