Straha, do you really want a war? Because that's what you'll get if you keep trying to steal what amounts to his nuclear armament secrets. He can't afford to let you do this, and you know it. What'll become of the Pax Terram then, hmm?

Look, I'm RPing it. My guys see these ships come into system violating the single most treasured doctrine for them. One ship is nice and kind to us, the other pisses us off royally. Acting from ignorance (our leaders really aren't mages, and the Skaven were never this secretive, so why should anyone else be secretive) they see no problems with this. The Army sees the oppurtunity to suddenly learn the entire potential armnament of the Arcanists, and maybe learn to use a bit of it (Skavens aren't as highly trained as others would be) while following protocol all the way through.
We honnestly don't want a war, but these things fell into our lap and we use everything we get.

Alright, compromise, you wont get the originals. those were destroyed. The copies you can have, but they will take longer to copy than a few hours. More like months or even years.
The languages are different, the skavans were divine casters, we are arcane. It is like trying to translate japanese to english, without a point of rerference.
This will give us time to actually do something about your... crimes.

Laz, you are so royally fucked right now......
If I were you, i'd concentrate all my resources on making a really big white flag......

No, a lot shorter copy time. If I have teams of mages on each book copying only certain books I should be able to copy the ones I want in a short time.

Two points of differentiation.
A. It's still magic, it'd be more like learning to translate Latin into Italian or vice versa. Hard, but not overly hard because you can see the similarities.
B. These come from an Academy, right? So the academy trains people in magic, right? And there were primers there in the original post. Hence we've got two great leads to go on.

Allready done, my lettle minions of doom.
Also, you'll find that the God-Emporoer and his goa'ould agents were in the defecting fleet as they fled.
Interesting string of conincidences there. Oh well, the R'hlloran Free-spacer Confedeary rules the planets now.

SHORTEST. WAR. EVER.
As my char is AWOL for the next few IC weeks while we flee to beta site, i'm logging off for the night.
Don't be cruel to the jaffa.

I fully intend to commit an act of genocide.
Do any of my allies have a problem with this?

OOB Posted.
Quail, weak organics.

Um, Nitram?
We're only allowed 75 major combatents at the start, and 500 patrol ships.

Fixed. My apologies.

No problem, lots of people screwed that up at the start.
Note to all players.
I've updated my OOB with increased fleet numbers. I've had ships under construction since the start of the game. It's safe to assume I can consider a small fraction of them done.

Laz, your fleet can't move any faster than it's slowest units. the Nashtar can just appoint a squadron of light cruisers or something to follow you, and since you have to stop eventually, they'll find you.

Yes, then it will be a few light cruisers vs my entire fleet in a defensive position.
TARGET PRACTICE!

He can keep track of you, and avoid your ships, and the second you settle down, hit you with the full weight of his fleet. Only if you were to split up your fleet could you possibly escape, and even then, he'd catch some of your ships (the largest, slowest ones, mostly.)

Not if i suddenly change course once i'm out of sensor range.

Uh, he'd be able to keep track of your every movement, prettty easily. Those big DNs don't turn too fast.
No problem, tho, he's broken off the chase. I forgot this was a fast raiding force, he didn't have the fuel to follow.

Whoo whoo. Unless you give them chase, they'll get out of range.

I just did. We are keeping tabs on them
Remember, our ships are smaller, but faster.(Something has to balance out the tractor vulnerability)

Send them a volley........
The Goa'oudl fleet drops out of hypespace and in an instand activates it's inciderator crusers. The persuing fleet is yanked out and engaged at point blank range.
Ok.......
[MY ENTIRE ARMADA + SOME PORTABLE STATIONS] vs [8th fleet]
I think we know how this is going to end. All my ships open fire.

I also realized that I had four longer ranged destroyers; they'll keep on him. For reference, I'd been pursuing for about a week when the order to break off was given.

Um no.. We arent right on your tail dyumbass, we are tracking you. Not attempting to actually catch and engage.
