Well the map doesn’t show you as owning them, as it damn well should if you’ve in fact been holding the places for centuries, so what the hell am I supposed to think.

So? Didn't we say that we move troops in Byzantium, and specifically noted that Jerusalem is IN Byzantium? Byzantium itself also moved some troops to other nations a little earlier, but you didn't raise a fuss, so that's how it is.

Of course, you can protest about now, or then, or the future - all you like, but you can't start a war with us just for that alone. Well, you can, but that would show that your nation leaders are a threat to all and even more joining together to secure us against you will occur.

And it's us who should be longing for a nuclear tripwire, as a security measure against you.

The map clearly shows Byzantium territory ending short of Palestine in Lebanon, so no it is not in Byzantium unless it has nothing to do with the real life city, in which case I ask why on earth the name is being used, and for the approximate real location of the city to be defined.

I'm not technically owning them, or rather as an official agreement with the other 2 Arab states, that we would co-run the whole operation.

Effectively it was neutral ground for the 2 Arab states in particular, since they hate each other and both are getting money from that operation.

To safeguard that operation, I planted troops there. Plus, you know, there are pirates and so forth in the area.

Yeah, it doesn't have a location except presumably being at the border, but even Fingolfin's OOB says it's a city within Byzantium and for a very long time nothing less.

Ig he wanted more land further south he could have had it added.

Ill also note that several weeks ago before the game even started If asked about the Mid East countries status and capabilities and still nothing has been made of it. If these rather vast places are in fact just more parts of Byzantium then they damn well ought to be defined and marked as being parts of Byzantium.

God.. I posted this ages ago on this thread and in the HIstory and no one damn hell protested or said a word.
Fingolfin_Noldor wrote:The Arab Caliphates

The Abassad Caliphate emerged from the ashes of the Turkish civil war. Kurdish in nature, Faradyn Abassad and his men shook off the shackles of Ottoman control and took control of Damascus and the surrounding areas. Together with his armies, he marched out and forced into compliance all the lands up to Egypt. He was proclaimed the Caliph, the defender of Islam. Knowing that the bloody wars had depleted much of his manpower and his empire too weak to attack the Byzantines, the Abassad Caliphate licked its wounds and recovered.

In 1690, the current Caliph, Sultan Osman Abassad, gathered his armies and assailed the Byzantine Empire, intent on conquering Anatolia and hopefully Constantinople itself. His fleets set up to besiege the enemy navy at Antioch and Constantinople. Unfortunately for him, the fleet at Constantinople and Antioch was soundly defeated, and the Byzantine Crown Prince himself took to the field and assaulted Jerusalem, taking the city itself. The armies besieging Antioch, and Damascus was itself threatened. The Sultan rushed to sign a peace treaty with the Byzantines to prevent the destruction of the empire. The Caliphate lost a great number of men, and it will take decades to recover.

In the 1905, the discovery of oil in Arabia led the Byzantine Emperor to request for the lease of the land in Arabia. The Sultan agreed, in exchange for a tithe of the profits. However, rumblings of corruption in the Empire, led to an open rebellion in Egypt. A general, under the name of Ephraim Seljuk, apparently a Turk, led the rebellion which was successful and the Seljuk Caliphate was formed. The two Caliphates warred occasionally for years, until Byzantium forced both to the negotiating table after the Great War and agreed to give both a tithe of the profits in oil from Arabia, in exchange for joint operation of the oil field.

As a whole, the Abassad Caliphate evolved into a more secular caliphate, and more accepting of technology. It was still a third world country, but to an extent, it was slowly heading towards a second world economy. The Seljuk Caliphate instead regressed, and for years accused the Abassads for failing in their duties to protect Islam and roused fanatics against the Byzantines who still held Jerusalem.

For the moment, Mecca, the holiest of Holy cities, remained in the joint control of both Caliphates under the watchful eye of the Byzantines. However, it was clear that the Seljuks were determined to have Mecca for themselves, along with Jerusalem. At the moment, oil money feeding the Seljuks kept them from getting too aggressive, especially when the Byzantines threatened to withhold the profits should he dare to do anything aggressive.
If you are referring to a military OOB, I didn't write one yet. I guess just pluck the OOB for Iran and write it smack there for each of them.

Fine, you define the Arabs, I’ll be defining Egypt and the 1/3rd of Libya on the map to suit something favorable to my own views. No japanistani troops will be present though, aside from a handful of early warning radar stations under joint control with and defended only by the local governments.

I guess I will then do the same for the Syrians then.

PEZOOK:

Can we work together on the bomb project? It seems like Stas and Fingolfin are doing their own thang.

GUYS:

If we're going to work together on lasers and stratellites and guns and stuff, which is what me and PeZook are doing with our subs, and what me and Fingolfin are doing with our planes, then we should have some sort of organization to facilitate this. To appeal to Stas and Shady, I say we call it the:

Combined Continental Consortium Partnership

It's basically like what the Europeans are doing, except we can have Crimson design bureaus in the 'CCCP' also. :)

This may or may not apply to the nuclear bomb project as well!

EDIT:

On the whole Middle East thing, damn you guys are horrible.

Go ahead, carve up those territories and those peoples! :P

PeZook is SNC so yes he's working together with us.

As for you, I thought we agreed to work together, but Stas and you are having a tiff.

I am working on the solid state laser project more or less solo because people aren't taking too much interest in it.

As for other projects, I'm open to collaboration, just that no one has come forward to talk to me about like electrothermal chemical guns etc.

On the whole Middle East thing, damn you guys are horrible.

Go ahead, carve up those territories and those peoples! :P
Sadly I'm now forced to. Probably give the Syrians a combined army of Syria + Jordan + bits of Iran or more.

Shroomania can work with us on nuclear technology, but first and foremost this is an SNC programme.

So we make devices for all SNC members, while you in Shroomania can look at how we make theoretical and pratical models and tests, help with money, and then consctruct your own testing models and devices according to the specifications you got from collaborating on our project.

We can walk the development together, but you will have to make your own bombs. SNC bomb production facilities will be spread between SNC members, just like we planned earlier.

That's harsh. :P

Considering that Shroomania has extensive nuclear experience, I guess we'll be cool looking at you guys make your bombs while doing our own thang with Operation Grinning Gilgamesh. We can share notes, cool! :)

PeZookia and Shroomania are exceptionally tight, so Shroomania might help PeZookia in bomb production or stuff.

I'm not seeing much respect being given to the potential capabilities of Shep's forces here. Jamming 8 kW radars? With what? Seriously, energy is energy, all the finesse in the world can only do so much against it.

PeZookia is good with heavy industry (steel!), so we'll build the big stuff, and you can fashion the ridiculously precise detonators required ;)

The Duchess of Zeon wrote:Consider your BOMARC batteries to be up and operational until they start doing heavy targeting of them with bunker-busters.
That's going to take some time.

Each BOMARC Squadron is divided into two detachments, with sixty missiles in each detachment.

This is a rough diagram of a BOMARC squadron base from the BOMARC SAC:

Image

As for jamming the datalinks used in BOMARC....

You'd have to jam multiple datalinks between different sections of the system, as shown by this diagram

If 60 missiles are assigned to each detachment, and only 500 something were produced over several years, there's not too many detachments in Shepistan to supress - probably situated around major cities or military bases anyway.

Destroying his radar networks is a must do, so launch Kh-15 in the anti-radar homing seeker version, or whatver equivalent you have, MESS. If none... well, too bad.

Also... Shepistan says 2400 BOMARC missiles are deployed. Just WTF? "Pakistan", right, Shep?

You might have a point if this game was taking place in ths 1960s. By 2008, the technology used in BOMARC is pretty cheap (although my missiles have been upgraded several times).

Hell, I should have supplemented my BOMARC sites with NIKE HERCULES in hardened shelters. Next time....next time....

Hey, Shroomania's also like Anglo Germany. We've got MacMillan for steel, but I guess they're too busy building those obscenely HUEG Bagger 228 digging machines for San Dorado and stuff. So, we'll be cool with ridiculously precise detonators.

We'll call them... 'Primary Ignition Commencers'! :P

Hey, VELARIA NEOCOLONIALIST GUYS, do you want some RLY HUEG MACHIENS to destroy the forests and uproot buried resources and stuff?

Japanistan can have a BAGGER with HUEG flags that fly the Rising Sun, and you can totally put strobe spotlights all over the vehicle, plus machine gun nests and sniper posts and stuff. Turning it into a giant version of a Hunter Killer from the Terminator movies.

Those bloody Velarian pygmies won't stand a chance! Fuck the forests!

(Want some, Shep? :))

(Canissia and Cascadia can have some too. If they want to ruthlessly exploit the Velarian landscape.)
