Steve wrote:For underwater geography, we can do things like make Astaria an extension of a landmass, partly submerged, that includes the right-turned New Zealand islands. We could even add small islands between them as part of this land mass. (Kinda like the RL Zealandia mass, a partly-submerged mass that includes New Zealand and reaches up to New Caledonia).
Another similar landmass could exist, almost entirely submerged, in the North Pacific, where all those island chains (including Misteria) exist.
That was I always figured the North Pacific islands were. The high ground of a flooded and subsided continent or something similar.
The Zealandia mass seems familiar. Didn't Marina use it for the Khaetjasti continent?

I've only the slightest inkling of what you people are talking about right now, but it seems to be that Super New Zealand is pretty much ideal for two nations in the middle of a decades-long cold or lukewarm war...

I tried to make it smaller, wanted it at about half that size really, but reducing the pixel size blurred the lines up and it looked ugly.

I've (Emmeria has) got dibs on the Bitter Divided Land thing. I'm gonna do some timeline and backbground work tonight, so look forward to some tasty tasty fluff tomorrow. Also, Germans. It'll be great.

Does anyone with their grubby fingers in my the Southern Frequesuan Sea (the Sea 'under' the continent) have any objections to me writing up a history/oob for the island chain Czechmate added (Edit: The one directly under the continent, obviously)?

This makes New Zealand much smaller (I think I'll double it from this size and gives room for a right-rotated New Caledonia with outlying islands to the east.

I actually like Super New Zealand as it was originally, it sort of breaks the mould of 'tiny islands in the stream' that many of the other additions seem to follow.

No objections here; I'll do the same for the one in the north. Maybe Master Baerne, you and I can do joint one on the spinal column chain to the west? (Is Baerne even still around?)

Hrm. I thought it was a tad too big last time. Maybe instead of halving it I'll just reduce it to 75-80%?

Sure; 80 percent might work...

Refresh the map, I updated it and moved New Caledonia (as it was too close to the smaller version for me to fit it in without making the New Zealand islands waaaay too close to Astaria for comfort.

Remember guys, St. Kitterridge(the "Maine" part of the continent of Shepland) has also been outright annexed by the Old Dominion.

Say, is Langley supposed to be that far north? It's well into the temperate zone.

I take it New Caledonia is the island chain east of Super New Zealand? That works for me, although it's pretty close to where my player-character is supposed to have his private island... But then that opens a few interesting storytelling opportunities, so I'm not adverse to that.

Yeah. I turned it on its right side as well. Not sure what it'll be called in this game.

Regarding the NPC nations to be added in, I vote that they should be decided collectively, and not at the whim of someone.
OR, I will start doing a bit of nuke terraforming.

That will do wonders for the PR image of CATO... People aren't going to be able to just create an NPC without input. You object to how someone creates one, then you comment and get them to change it. However, if you insist that everything needs to be done collectively, then none of them will get made because no one has the investment required to do so.
And then someone will decide they need something for their storyline, and create an NPC country, and we'll be back where we started, except a couple weeks down the road, and less people caring. Essentially every NPC to date has been created at the whim of someone: PRSF, the border states, Sabika, Costa, Khitan.

Because there is NO fething Mod and I will not have someone who is obviously NOT NEUTRAL and go off writing an OOB.
We haven't exactly forgotten what you did with Costa and we will not let it happen again.

You should relax, buddyguy. It's just a game, you know? It's not like your nigh-unassailable nation has been or will be affected by any tiny-ass NPC being broken...ever.
