Agreed; glad he finally gets what he's had coming since 1999.

I think you got your lines mixed up there, it´s San Hill who says Lord Vader (because that´s who they´re expecting) and then gasps when he sees Anakin´s face (who is now Lord Vader).

no I don't it's the way Anakin/Vader answers to Shu Mai when she complains about not getting Handsome reward there's both calculating Vader and Anakin (whos ego is probaly the size of Corusant) in that line.

Of course, said ego in relation to physical features isn't going to mean much after his all-expense paid dip in the lava pool...

Why do you think he's so pissed off after that.(and I think that line was before said swim in a Lava pool).

Judging from the latest spoilers, he doesn´t actually fall into lava, only gets his legs and left arm chopped off by Obi-Wan and then left on a hot black-sand bank next to a lavaflow, where he bursts into fire. So in a way, the whole lavaplanet-setup is really a red herring. And realistically speaking, it´s almost better this way. I mean, you´d pretty much be either scorched dead or melt completely if you ever fell into lava, right?

Either way, the sand-bank is hot enough to ruin his body and face.

Mustafar only serves as allegory to Anakin's descent into Hell. The duel could've been pulled off on a volcano situated on a more comfortable planet, but it wouldn't have had the same effect as what Lucas seems intent on achieving.

Agreed; I had the same thought when I saw evil Anakin on the balcony overlooking the lava in the trailer.

There's a .gif animation of a segment presumably at the start of the duel, right after the already seen bit where Obi-Wan and Anakin twirl their sabres a bit for no particular reason- they both force push each other at the same time and ... nothing happens. Presumably, they cancelled each other out.

You would also be scorched dead or melted completely by standing right next to a blast door being melted through by a lightsabre. The force is a powerful ally.

They twirl and then clash, it might be the SW-equivelant of a power-up sequence in Dragonball.

I think you can see a couple of shots of this in the trailer, Obi-Wan with his arms extended, concentrating.

With MF.com down (at least for me) the CHUD SW picture thread, provides nice information. More VD pages have been leaked, this time highlighting Bail Organa and Co. Seems the Tantive had blue stripes during the CW, and the guns at the time were fake, hiding fast escapepods (this due to Bail not wanting them on a purely diplomatic vessel).

Another nice bit of trivia:
Most Separatist war machines are deactivated at the end of the Clone Wars, but the dwarf spider droids are used by the Empire to enforce the submission of once-Separatist strongholds.
There´s also pages on Support Droids, including the Ordnance Lifter, the military version of Binary Load Lifters. :)
The owners of Sienar Systems, Kuat Drive Yards, Baktoid Armor Workshops and Haor Chall Engineering are paying attention to the Clone Wars, in the hope of placing themselves profitably for the inevitable peace.
Need to find which side to cheer for, eh?

The large-barreled shipcannons for the Separatists are mass-drivers. A large ammunitionsbelt feed it with projectiles.

Nah, that's a different scene. He and Anakin only have one hand free in the .gif I'm talking about, because the other is holding their lightsabres.

I only know of their appearance at the end of the film.
There are V-wings during the battle of Coruscant.

Your both talking about the same scene, just when you first see it, it looks like Obi-Wan is using two hands, but he's only using one.

Crown wrote:Question; has it been confirmed which EU character is going to be appearing in RotS :?:
No, only speculations. An insider claimed it was Quinlan Vos.

The V-Wing reminds me of an early X-Wing model I´ve seen pictured on the OS. It had X-shaped wings, but they were more vertical than horizontal. I guess there are several links to the OT-fighters. :D

I'm still hoping that it's going to be Aurra Sing, even that's SO unlikely.

Aurra Sing wasn´t an EU character, she was in TPM as a podrace-spectator. Standing alone on a platform in the canyon-section of the race.

And Quinlan Vos was Aayla Secura´s master:

Either would be very cool...as both are essentially dark jedi. Sing was a failed padawan trained by the Dark Woman. While Vos is a contemporay of Obi-Wan who fell to the dark side, and has been serving Darth Tyranus.

I doubt either will appear though. Lucas has to much on his plate to be wasting significant screen time on an EU character. If Vos appears I'd expect him to be quickly killed by either Obi-wan or Count Dooku. If its Sing, she'd just be a throw away character in the background.

BTW what's the name of the Wookiee leader (could he be the EU character?)
