With a name like that I /never/ would have guessed!

I'm still pondering the use of hyperspace drones to create uplink and downlink gates to fire near-c weapons through hyperspace. But naaah, that's just too revolting. :)

Sublety at work, you see... :)
Next in line, hyperguns :D

I would still prefer Deathwands/beams. Those are pretty weapons...

Eh, given the prevalence of hyper-based shielding, hyper-based energy weapons probably wouldn't be too effective, and WOULD likely be power-hogs for insufficient return.

But they have style :)

For sheer strangeness, I like (and have mounted) probability weaponry :)

Note to self. Get Bistromathic weapons.

Meanwhile, in R&D:
"This is it?"
"Yep"
"It's a cricket ball"
"Pretty much."
"What does it do?"
"Kill everything"
"Marvellous. Where's that Thirteen Republic Ammo dump?"

I already did a similar thing. Look up the Centerpoint II. No, I won't go into it here, suffice it to say that it was overpowered (that's an accomplishment in old STGOD by the way) and the only way I kept on using it was by playing ... carefully with it. Relatively speaking.

One of 'em got iced by Serenity herself IIRC. The other three (yes, there were four) I assume dropped off the face of the universe in the gap between old STGOD and this STGOD. Presumably one might be lurking around somewhere, but I don't want to know.

I know one was captured by the Thousand Galaxies, though that might have been the alternate-timeline one.

I dun want to open the can of worms that firing energy weapons down from hyperspace would. That'd be....shit, that'd be too cheesy for an STGOD.

Yeah, I posted that pic just for the hell of it. Because, we aren't dead, are we?

Yeah, that was the original C-II station (the one responsible for making the whole Earth/Earth II mess).

OK, I've (finally) done a quick update of the STGOD map. If any information is outdated or missing, please let me know. I'm going to be working probably all day tomorrow so tomorrow evening is the earliest I can fix anything.

Oh, and Nephtys, could you give me a list of the lengths of those ships you posted in the main thread? I'll add them into the "official" STGOD ship size comparison charts.

Woo, we're bigger than I expected. Considering that two of my systems are practically next to each other. :p

I'd love to attempt to give a good fleet image thing, but alas, I lack the artistic skill or the easy to draw ships to do so.

I should add a disclaimer: "This map not drawn to scale." :-P

Well, there's a random chance there'll be a SCA ship/fleet in any system up to about 2-300 ly from my main... so maybe it IS accurate. hmm.
