The TSC seems to be under the misapprenshion that we are suing, and that we are using international treaties as the basis to do so. We are also wondering how you managed to acquire ansibles, when the only known copies left are in the possession of the government of the PRC. We are undertaking the proceedings based solely upon PRC laws, and the volation thereof by the aforementioned corporations.

[inner sanctum of the Shattered Tower, Skavenblight, capital of the Nyfitsar Hegemony]

Tabak Hask, the Seer Lord, Patriarch of Skavenblight, spent most of his days meditating. His total control over the workings of the Church and government he delegated to his vicar general, leaving his mind free for much more important pursuits.

That day, those pursuits were in vain. The greatest Seer alive, spiritual leader to untold billions lay frustrated on the floor of the holiest site in the entire galaxy. The ancient tower had stood for thousands of years, though long habitation by the Church had led to some alterations. the old, ridiculously wide walls and ceilings were built inwards with deep relief scupltures of warpstone to a sensibly clausterphilic scale, and the upper lantern was closed to the sun. Noxious fumes bled out from censers in hidden niches in the walls, and eldritch figures of various unspeakable shapes carved from the solidified essense of chaos itself intruded into the chamber's inner space. This the grandest of sites was the meditation chamber of the Seer Lord.

Hask scanned the future, though lately his searches were frustrated. His mind perceived explosions, battles in space, millions of deaths. But the nature of it all was unclear. It was clear something of great import was to happen, but what? In the midst of it all was a hidden, elusive detail. Something about the battles was subtly wrong. Something new - or perhaps very old - threatened, but exactly what it was eluded him.

Once again he broke his trance and stood up. These were perilous times indeed when even his gifts could not show the way. He retired to the dining chamber, where dined and read of the current events. He read of the Aquarians, and their request for hypershields. In that instant, all became clear.

Three massive Dreadnoughts of the fast reaction force stationed over Desjardins form around a massive fleet carrier with the words CNVMorrigan painted across her armored flank against an icon of three sylized female warriors.

Around the massive vessels, a swarm of sharklike armored cruisers of the Adrastea class fall in, accompanied by over a hundred frigates and destroyers.

Guarded by teams of frigates and light cruisers, a solid hundred heavy transports of the Commonwealth Army leap into hyperspace behind the Fleet, which represents a significant portion of the Commonwealth's mobile firepower.

Narra system

The large construction ship translated into the high orbit of Narra's second gas giant. Upon arrival it split in three parts, one set immediately course for the higher atmospheres of the giant, forming the planets first floating city (though only hamlet-sized with a mere 10 kilometers at its base). The second part reconfigured itself as orbital station in low orbit.
The third part, merely an oversized drive unit, waited until its Kornienko drive had reloaded and jumped back home. Buoyes were placed in the inner system, crying out its new ownership.

Avalon Prime, Fleet Central

The military scientist nodded enthusiaticly. "Yes, the new gravitonic warhead Mk. XXII surpasses our greatest hopes. Field tests showed that it's powerful enough to destroy hole planets, though only the mud-bound sort. In the test, a small moon around Orianna 3 was completely annihilated in one shot. That's a nice increase ofer the Mk. XXI."
"How soon can it be introduced into the fleet?"
"As soon as we begin mass construction, we can issue it to the fleet within 3 standard weeks."
"Good enough..."

Aquarian System....

You dont think we were waiting for this attack?

All f the sudden, out ofnowheree, 33 Teuthis class vessels disengage their cloak, and from the tentacles and mantles, comes a full barage of missiles, plasma weapons and Particle beams, all focuesed on te command ship Tyrant... The wapons fire cascaded against her shields, then ther bare hull, then ripped her hll intopieces before she ever even had the chance to respond. They then went bck into cloak, and then jetted away under cloak... 12 carriers jumped out of hyperspace and disgourged several thousand fighters and bombers into the batttle... Capitalships began duking it out with long range fire.

Teuthis class ships used their sensor jamming package to blind Azgert sensor... their misiles were flying blind.

Then the Man O' War opened fire with all her weapons, decimating the Azgert defenses.

All vessles then open fire concentating fire on heavier ships and working their way down, while the orbiging stations pick off the destroyers.

The Tyrant and her bretheren had jumped well out of range of the planetary defense. They weren't stupid.

THe Aquarians had sent several nearly three dozen cruisers to attack the Azegart fleet. Apparently they had overestimated their jammers or underestimated the Azegart sensorsm, and they weren't at all aware of the astropaths. The jamming was a problem but hardly blinded them and astropaths were one of the best ways to find a cloaked ship.

As one 26 Ravager-class cruisers opened fire on the Teuthises, as they traded blows with the enemy their superiority was telling. As soon as the biomorphic ships lost their shield they were crippled as tentacles were shot off easily. The numerous destroyers made their usual slashing attacks, swooping in, raking their prey with fire and promptly disengaged. The Azegart took their lumps but their solid armor and rational design gave them a distinct advantage.

It was shaping up to be quite a battle indeed.

Barely a couple dozen light-years from the battle, a fifty-kilometer "superfreighter" arrived in the territory of the Republic of Aztlan. It soon began to offload old, yet still potent surplus warships for the Aztlan, no doubt bankrolled by some nation's black budget.

[OOC: About twenty old frigates and such, around .5km in size. Nothing really powerful.]

The listening posts were now active and gathering intelligence, but the data on their 'official' targets was slim. The distance was simply too far to effectively gather more information on them. That was fine; their 'official' targets was merely one layer for their cover. The real intent was to monitor the activities of a certain enemy that most thought gone hundreds of years ago. Of course, they weren't, they were just in the shadows.

One particular ship had a very interesting pathway. Every so often, it would drop in a random location near Yarmuk, hold there for twenty minutes on the dot and leave. Sometimes another ship would meet it, sometimes it would leave without any apparent consort. Of course, there could be a cloaked ship; there was no way a CGT could possibly track something at this distance - range and the lightspeed limitation of gravity ensured that - and etheric-disturbance sensors would be swamped at that distance.

No, something was up. What was also interesting was that a certain group of Black Alliance ships were also seen in the general vicinity of the that strange ship. They didn't do anything, either, so what was the jig? Nobody sent out a full frigate just to spy on a ship: the Alliance had other ships for that. A frigate seemed rather wasteful.

Closer examination on the few times they could get in didn't show up evensomuch as an IFF or transponder, but that was to be expected. Broadcasting would be foolish for whoever these people were.

What the Intel spook didn't know was that the Kingdom was carefully seeding other worlds with stations - he thought he was probably the only one. No, there were others, all carefully watching.
