You, and whoever else wishes to go, are shown to the library. The old elf throws open two huge wooden doors at the end of a long hall. You see a huge room lit only by a few lamps hanging from the cealing. On the wall are long shelves filled with hundreds of books.

There are three people in the room, the Gnome, a female human wearing chainmail with a longsword hanging from her belt, they are both just standing around.

The third person is a male human who is standing by a shelf reading one of the books, somthing about him strikes you as........off. But you can't place what.

"Hello, I am pleased to make your aquaintance"

My eyes of course, light up when I see the books.

"I may have to stay here for a while..."

I'm going to send Quoth up to the Cabin to see if anything is wrong.

Unless there are dangers in him going there...

I dive into the books and revel in the knowledge. Though I try to pick outt history... this place seems odd...

Johan walks up to the old elf as some of the rest of the party is shown into the library. "Would it be possible if I were to have a look around this building, perhaps learn about its history? I was apprenticed to an architect many years ago and I find the construction style of this lodge to be interesting."

As I don't trust the entire affair, I accompany Tsaroth into the library branch and keep a careful watch on the other people in the library, especially the odd human.

"Of course."

*the young human runs up*

Elf: "Ren, show our guest *points* around the building would you?"
Ren: "Immedietly. Please, step this way *gesturers*

Over the next half-hour your shown around the huge buidling, it's mastersterfully built and desinged, and employs some building techniques you've never seen before.
I dive into the books and revel in the knowledge. Though I try to pick outt history... this place seems odd...
After a half-hour, you have discovered this to be both the most, and the least accurate historicial archive you have ever read. It's the most as it seems to be almost entirely first hand accounts, and goes into great details. It's the least in that there are certian..........substitutions. Wherever there should be a mage, it talks about a "Demon that took human form" or "A powerfull spirit" etc etc. After reading a bit more, your confinced that this isn't a mere misunderstanding, someone intentinaly skewed the stories.

Following the old man and Tsaroth to the library, Gorzny asks the old man, "I hate to be a bother, but do you have any contruction materials around, such as wood or nails. We have a cart further down the mountain which is in rather bad shape. If you could help it would much appreciated. I can pay for materials used of course."

"I believe somthing can be aquired, please step this way."

(to the people in the library) "If you'll excuse me......"

*your shown to some kind of supply closet, there is more then enough wood here*

To the old man, "Thank you. We shouldn't need to much of it." I then procede to find Quoth, and have him tell Robgea that we have some wood to fix the cart.

I continue reading, delving deeper and deeper into the history. Trying to gleam a bit more insight.

It seems to be a very accurate history of the reagon.......upon further study, you notice somthing. Past about 500 years ago, mages stop appearing in the story alltogether. (as in they arn't there, not that they have been rewritten)

I look at some books while keeping an eye on Tsaroth. And carefully eyeing the strangers in the library, as well.

Walking outside to find Quoth, Grozny asks him to fly down to Robgea to tell him that we have wood to repair the cart with. I then wait for Robgeas response.

"Ok this is odd"

Tsaroth walks over to some of the other readers.

"Have you noticed something odd about the histories?"

Posted: 2004-03-05 10:31pm
by lazerus
"Such as?"

Posted: 2004-03-05 10:48pm
by Alyrium Denryle
"well, this may seem a bit od, but they seem like they have been altered. Anytime a mortal magic user ike myself is mentioned, it is replaced with something like "demon" I came through interdimensional travel and it may have gotten messed up, but these histories seem odd to me"

That got their attention.
"Mortal magic user?" *he gets up*
"Where did you hear that?"

"Hear? I am one."

Tsaroth gets ready to defend himself, activating mage armor and haste
