Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid ideas

It may just be me, but those look more like the Heavy Rockets than the Space Bombs, unless they changed them in XWA (which I've never seen).NecronLord wrote:http://www.angelfire.com/scifi2/iimperi ... /bombs.jpg

Sea Skimmer wrote:The New Republic also calls ships only 1000 meters long battlecruisers. The NJO is full of them. Theres seems to be some unknown KDY call floating around.phongn wrote:Well, the NRDF considers the Mediator a battlecruiser, so I'm assuming that it'd be at least as prestegious as Home One, if not moreso. The latter dedicated a great deal of space to its carrier facilities and C4ISR systems, the Mediator may be a more balanced ship.Sea Skimmer wrote:Did I? We'll I do go on the idea that 29 batterys is a misprint and it should be 92. But that should be more like 20. However Mediator seems to be a big destroyer, so I'm rating it around a bit above the ISD II, perhapes it should b esomehwat more.
Yeah, but I'd think by now the Mon Cal definitions of ship classes would've caught up some with the KDY definitions; don't forget KDY is now a NR contractor too now.Star Wars Tech. This means that it is almost certainly larger, more heavily armed and armoured than the two types of cruisers at the Battle of Endor, and possibly approaching the size of Home One (depending on whether it's considered a battlesruiser, battleship or commandship in Mon Calamari terms). The use of the term "battlecruiser" is consistent throughout Vector Prime.

I'd say an ISDII is more powerfull than that, 14-15000 I'd saySea Skimmer wrote:ISD I: 10000 pts

The more I think of it, the more I want this to be a classic pen and paperThe Dark wrote:I don't remember if I asked this before, but I'll ask again:
Will it be possible to write in our own ships if we have the pic files and the necessary stats? Or will it be more along the lines of a "black box" game, where the ships that are in are in and those that are out are out?
Unknown winged cruiser. It is not the Liberty-type. 1.5km longMKSheppard wrote:http://mywebpages.comcast.net/MKSheppar ... Winged.jpg
XWA claims that it is the MC80A cruiser. 1.4km long. It is markedly different than the wingless ship from the movies that is generally called the MC80.
XWA claims that it is the MC40A light cruiser. 500m long.
Drat, I'll never be able to find someone willing to do it pen and paper with the program a mere calculator.MKSheppard wrote:The more I think of it, the more I want this to be a classic pen and paperThe Dark wrote:I don't remember if I asked this before, but I'll ask again:

board game using computers as a play aid, because that way, the game
"engine" will be 100% open to players like you who can put in their own stuff...
I would ask if there's an AI, but from what I understand those are notoriously difficult to program properly. Just do whatever you feel is right, and I'm sure people will like it, and most likely give suggestions and tinker with it on their ownMKSheppard wrote:The more I think of it, the more I want this to be a classic pen and paperThe Dark wrote:I don't remember if I asked this before, but I'll ask again:

What about me? I'm developing it for a pen-n-paper game engineSea Skimmer wrote: Drat, I'll never be able to find someone willing to do it pen and paper with the program a mere calculator.
I ment someone to play with. Now I'm not quite sure where your going with this game. Will your finnal design require me to move small objects around my table with a ruler and tape mesure or will it be possibul to play completly electronically?MKSheppard wrote:What about me? that allows you to play anyone over the internet in a setting that
resembles the pen n paper environment
