He presented his "findings" on a SW vs. ST thread at this very site under the title of "Wong collision cals." We beat him down there, and everyone agreed that he was wrong. We beat him down again in "Proving BaldStar wrong," and again in "Another correction for BaldStar..." To my knowledge, every neutral participant who read through it considered it an almost flawless victory for Lord Poe and his supporters on both cases. Thanks to everyone who helped, but he never seemed to understand how badly he had been beaten. He was thrashed by Grand Admiral Thrawn with a small amount of assistance from myself in "Most common attacks." In some of those he never appeared to understand our arguments, and in others he just ignored them. Another thing about DarkStar, he ALWAYS gets the last word in in a debate, because he refuses to give up and he does not stretch even his limited mental faculties by wasting brain power on new points for each of his posts. All he has to do is continuously repeat the same post again and again, and eventually we just give up and move on. Then he posts again and claims victory. I think you will see the aftermath of that in "Proving BaldStar wrong." You will also see the tactic being used in those threads.

Well, now that DarkStar has made this thread public over at S31, I might as well 'fess up and admit that I and numerous other S31 members have been monitoring this thread since page 1. Hell, some have even posted all over this board, including in this thread.

Just shows you that if anything else, Section 31 is still a top notch intelligence organization that excels at infiltration, even if the UFP is dust before Imperial might.

Also - since the cat is out of the bag, I will reiterate the information that I imparted to the Spacebattles bunch that visited a while back - Everyone is free to come debate the SW vs. ST topic at S31 (or partake in any other discussion), but keep in mind that the BBS rules and policies there are much more strict that at other boards, and while I do agree with you guys on the SW/ST issue, if anybody violates the policies, the staff will enforce the rules. Of special note are the following items:

There are no sigs allowed there of any kind. Even a catchphrase or name at the end of a post will be edited out. Please don't yell at me, as that policy has been in place since before I was even on staff.

Multiple posting in succession is a no-no. Please use the edit button to add to your last post if no one else has posted since then.

No flaming. This may be the most heavily enforced rule there. No flaming of any type is tolerated. So please don't call anyone a retarded shit eater who plays with himself in public no matter how much you think they deserve it. Along with that, you'll find that most "bad" words are censored out by the software, so even if you do call someone a shithead, all you'll see is a bunch of asterisks.

Please note that I'm saying all this NOT to put you off or to prohibit you from voicing your points, but the exact opposite - I'd like to see such points made and debated without anyone getting banned.

Other than all that, knock yourselves out...though the enthusiasm at S31 for the topic hasn't exactly been the greatest. I think most are content to watch the show for the sheer entertainment value and don't worry too much about the scientific/technical aspects to the show.

Oh..and I am a Dark Lord of the Sith there...I will be watching.....

Hyperspace: AOTC has Obi Wan go from Corusucant to the Outter rim (and beyond) in a matter of hours.

Weapons: AOTC:ICS blah blah 200gt turbolasers

Sheilds: Sheilds kinda have to stand up to your weapons, now don't they.

Treknobabble: It will be kilt as it comes.

For those of you who visit Space Battles, you may or may not know that I was once directed in the direction of some typical trekkies. The result of this encounter was I formed "The Imperial Strike Force™"...a grand army of the repub....er Empire to invade the trekkie hell hole (Section31.com)

Well since Mike is wary of debating trekkies en masse (rightfully so), why don't we take matters into our own hands and form our own Imperial Strike Force™. Just as Trekkies swear revenge and vow to bring in re-enforcements, we'll actually bring in re-enforcements and debate the trekkies into the ground.

What do you mean 'typical trekkies?' Those on section 31 represent a minority of loud idiots, they're certainly not 'typical trekkies'. A typical trekkie is one who watches the show and couldn't give a damm about the versus debate.
