This magic stuff really complicates things, Aly, wanna cast "Modernize Society" and convert?

Get your fill of sci-fi, science, and mockery of stupid ideas

This behind-the-back stuff vexinates me. I actually think we need a very blunt, in-your-face war. But I'm the one working exponential growth for all it's worth.InnocentBystander wrote:You know, if this galactic peace works out, maybe we could have a good old fashion Shadow War; you know, to stir things up
An EMP equiv was what I had intended.Hotfoot wrote:In your OOB, you already HAVE methods of countering technology. You've been doing such things since the beginning. I hope you don't take this as some sort of excuse to make an uber-anti tech field or something. Want to make a magic effect that is the equivilant of an EMP field or somesuch, fine, so long as it stays within the DS9 tech level.Alyrium Denryle wrote:Dont worry about it. The way I lokk at it, if you manage to counter my magic, I can figure out a way to counter your technology.
Wait, how many of us in this STGOD live in NYC?Bugsby wrote:Some of us arent nearly so lucky, Thirdfain. Where, exactly, should I set up my tent in NYC without the risk of being arrested or mugged or something?Thirdfain wrote:-edit- and why the fuck were all you people posting last night? It's tent weekend, and a beautiful summer! Go drinking and pick a pretty girl forgodssakes!
Is vexinate even a word? This behind-the-back stuff vexinates me.
No, it is a made up word, most likely a failed attempt to use the word "vex". Perhaps he is looking for the word “irritates”.Thirdfain wrote:Is vexinate even a word?
I'm just across the water, I have a grand view of it, but without all the people, noise, smells, and other baggage that goes with living in the city.Straha wrote:Wait, how many of us in this STGOD live in NYC?
Ahh sorry, I thought it was more like a cloud city type deal.Dahak wrote:Hey, InnocentBystander, your transport has been allowed to approach an ORBITAL station, indicated by the Orbital part, meaning no atmosphere entry for you. Doing so would be unhealthy for your transport...
No. It's a made up word to combine the words Vex and Irritate. I'm sure I've used it in this webboard before.InnocentBystander wrote:No, it is a made up word, most likely a failed attempt to use the word "vex". Perhaps he is looking for the word “irritates”.Thirdfain wrote:Is vexinate even a word?
No limit, assuming you don't bring a fleet.Rogue 9 wrote:Straha: Is there some sort of limit to what sort of vehicle and/or military escort a representative can arrive in? And would it be appropriate to send the chief of state?
So that's a nix on it being the next stop of the Overseer's fleet's whirlwind tour of the Galaxy?Straha wrote:No limit, assuming you don't bring a fleet.Rogue 9 wrote:Straha: Is there some sort of limit to what sort of vehicle and/or military escort a representative can arrive in? Okay. You'll be getting a visit from the NRS Sabre, then. (In case you haven't been paying attention to my naming conventions, large bladed weapon names go to battleships.Straha wrote:No limit, assuming you don't bring a fleet.Rogue 9 wrote:Straha: Is there some sort of limit to what sort of vehicle and/or military escort a representative can arrive in? And yes, the entire idea of the Ball was for all the Chiefs of State to enjoy about four days of vacation at Monacoran expense (as well as work on buisness)
Conquer?InnocentBystander wrote:Where you planning on conquering earth? No offense to you, but I wouldn't let an anyone's entire fleet into one of my systems unless they had a damn good reason for being there.

The transport and its escort had arrived without incident, carrying the Baeloaren Ambassador and his aids. The ships now hung in space at the edge of the system for only a moment before transmitting a message.

Apparently I did. Sorry. By the by, you wouldn't just show up over Nashtar. The Republic's "geography" (for lack of a better word) is such that you would likely run through a star trying to jump straight into the cluster to the capital. You'd be at Pinnacle if trying for the easy (and most guarded) way in. I'll see to that immediately.InnocentBystander wrote:Rogue 9: did you miss this?InnocentBystander wrote:At the edge of the Nashtar System (ooc:Or whatever the system's proper name is)
