Plus, humanity has no need to fear my killer robots. They have every episode of Star Trek on microdisc, and can thaw Shatner from his cryogenic slumber and have him kick my ass. Your bats are a much bigger threat as all copies of Fern Gully where destroyed by Disney in 2258 during the Disney Hegemony. Duh!

Small violent humans.
Angry little people please.
Oh come on, dwarves aren't really that angry or violent.
Unless they suspect you of doing something illegal.
Or of disrespecting your social betters.
Or if you call them small violent humans.
Or if they haven't had any alcohol recently.
Or, come to think of it, if they've had too much alcohol recently.
But seriously, dwarves are just plucky little guys who like to sell you stuff that they make. They're like Oompa Loompas but with some business savvy. And giant spaceships.

And why the heck would Poland allow the NGTO to invade and conquer another nation for such flimsy reasons?
The player realizes; the nation doesn't beleive it for a second. This is the Terran Empire Resurgent, and steps must be taken to ensure their wrath goes in other directions.

Quick note, a Herald is someone who signals the coming of someone or something. A Harold is my maternal grandfather. I am very disappointed that so many people dislike my grandpa.

I apologize for my absence but I have been unable to connect to SDN since Friday. It's going to take me a little while to get up to speed in the IC thread but I think I've got some handle on what's going on from reading this thread through.
Is there anything that needs to be brought to my specific attention right away?

Yea, I replaced your head of IntSec with Folger's Crystals. Can you tell the difference?

My Spy Network is in shambles but now I can start the day the right way! Thanks Folgers!

Somehow I doubt he's going to be straining the head of his secret police through a paper cone today. If I'm wrong, I apologize, and then demand a post detailing such to satisfy my morbid curiosity.

He will only be strained through a paper cup...
IF HE FAILS ME!

Terran Empire? When was there a Terran Empire? I don't recall this from the Earth History thread.

Terran Empire? When was there a Terran Empire? I don't recall this from the Earth History thread.
Given that it popped up in a few OOBs and a few discussions early in the formation, I had been going by the once-existance of a Terran Empire.
Of course, this is a pretty loose definition of one. The 'Empire' was run by various governments, and almost all suffered a flatulent fall from grace during the Upheavels.

'Period of big mo-fuckin warfare' is such a useful background story element.

I admit I didn't read through everyone's OOB, so the only Earth history I know is from the Earth History dicussion thread. If it happened thenwe should put it in the earth history thread.
Can we sticky the
Earth thread?

OOB update again: Decided to add the ground military stuff for kicks and i also surreally added what's on TV in Chamaran space.
That surreal list of current hit shows is repeated here for your enjoyment, syndication of series subject to negotiation:
'Spacebats in the attic' telling the tale of Kiro'ter'nah who are marooned on Jewel before first contact was made with the race. A comedic tale of their experience interacting with the nekos in the house that must keep their activities and presence a secret from the world.
'Chamara rising' The epic story of the rise of house Chamara to power in the kingdom and the civil war around which the tale is set. Lots of intrigue and warfare as it follows the leading felines of house Chamara on their quest to seize power.
'Chamaran sun' The tale of the interplanetary civil war between the world of jewel with the royals and loyalists and on the other side on new marass the hated upstart houses led by House Morn who launched their cowardly attack upon Jewel with the power of a grand beamcannon. Heavily features early neko space combat.
'Cats in space!' An extremely unrealistic space based series featuring aliens who we've found out dont exist and plotlines that are wearing thin. It's a cult series that refuses to die despite the noble houses in control of the media wanting to pull the plug on it several times.
'Shadow of gear' An extremely recent but hit series with great production values and ratings. It tells the story of the Chamaran fleet fighting against the menacy of an alien robot empire called the Gear who seek to subjugate all organic life and wipe them from the galaxy to prepare it for the coming of a great cataclysm at the hands of their machine god.
'Oxos' The original and classic tale of the nekos greatest legend, the first hero who with her sword Shikon and her steed Chel went across ancient wartorn Jewel doing good deeds and spreading peace by word or sword. Seen as she wore a mask and never told anyone her name she was named Oxos, which means simply mask as when she had brought peace to the world she vanished, so the legends say.

Yay, well. Back from Vacation... and reading up on the thread. So, any decision on who/what has my Egg? If nobody really cares, we could probably do it as before. With whoever picked it up?

No problem - I just ran with something Academia Nut said earlier.
EDIT: And it gave me a chance to score brownie points with your ambassador.

Redleader just triggered a multi-megaton underground nuclear explosion? That's got to set off a few alarms.

Thirdfain, since I never got a reply whether you liked the post or not I decided to just post it. I also added a few things.
I suggest we assume that Alfonso de la Vega and Wysoka's governor had a nice, long, intellectually stimulating chat. So now both countries know pretty much all there is to know about each other. In fact, we can just move everything along to writing reactions from the Powers that Be on either side to the first contact report along with the sending of ambassadors.
Or even better, your side's reaction to the first contact report, my side's reaction to it. Then at the end of my post the guy given power by Felipe II to act in His Imperial Majesty's name arrives at Sol and stuff.

Rho, sorry for the long waits. I've been extremely busy recently, and haven't quite known how I want to answer that.

Actually, I take that as a complement. If you just gave me a rote answer after all the time and effort you've put into your posts before this, I'd be both surprised and shocked.
In fact, I've been trying to match you for how much thought you give your posts. In short, no harm, no foul - I do the same thing.

As of the last posts, Redleader was investigating and I had noticed it. Then you went on vacation and his civil war started. So he has first crack at it.
