That seems very unlikely considering vastness of space; however, it matters not!

Dense star cluster and nebulae. The clear spacelanes have major military bases at the entrances.

Am I supposed to be headed for pinnacle or the capital?

Pinnacle is one of the aforementioned military bases. You're supposed to be headed for the capital; Pinnacle's the transition point.

You've caught me at a bad time; the President, Minister of State, and chief ambassador-at-large are all away from the capital at the moment.

*Goes to think up a name for the Vice President.*

Not important, it takes time to set up an embassy, you might even meet the head Baeloaren diplomat at the Grand Ball.

Umm... such an arrangement of stellar conditions is infinitely improbable. Even the entrances would be dozens of lightyears across.

yeah, rogue9, you really can't have a chokepoint in SPACE for fuck's sake.

I'm just taking a tally.. How many governments have utterly failed to notice the large fleet of unmarked vessels sitting at Alpha Prime watching everyone?

We sure as livid fuck haven't. We just don't care.

I'm silently hoping you attack and kill the arcane delegate.

They would be expecting you to kill the Arcane delegate. In fact, if anyone dies the blame is likely to fall on your shoulders, you don't want the
entire galaxy against you; do you?

YOu mean the entire galaxy isn't ALLREADY against me?
Score!

Yeah, Laz, that's EXACTLY what I'm gonna do. Assasinate a delegate at a diplomatic conference, gaining absolutly NOTHING and throwing myself, ally-less into a war with the game's biggest power broker. Sure.
No fucking wonder you keep driving your empires into the ground.

What the hell is that supposed to mean?
If you are talking about the Aegis, ok. your ships might be the same size. Point is, km measurements are more or less irrelevant. This is my flagship, the only one that I have of this size. Combined with the fact that I only gave myself half as many cap ships as everyone else, I feel justified in saying that my cap ships are all twice as badass. I didn't say that it was THE biggest, merely one of the biggest and the most heavily armed.

The point is, space is pretty damn big. Are you trying to say that all of your systems are located within what amounts to the Kessel Black Hole Cluster?
Just think for one second about how big our solar system is. Now imagine a huge-ass sphere that encomases all of it, as far out as the oort cloud. That would be a sphere about 3 lightyears in diameter. Now are you saying that the entire surface area of that sphere is covered with gravity distortions and the like that would make it impassible? Expand this to the fact that you have more than 1 system (I believe). So the distortions would have to cover an even BIGGER area, to account for the distance between stars. And even then, there is this impenetrable sphere? Uh... right.

Ok, just for power levels, the Uber-jaffa/cyborgs are about, individually, 50x stronger, faster, etc, than the Master Chief. Of course, even making 100 had a huge drain on naquida production, so these guys will likely be either lone commandos sent on the most important missions, or something similiar.
Also, I need some badass name suggestions.

No, its entirely possible to get in other ways. Just good luck finding a straight shot in if you don't start out with line of sight. And ships that come in over the capital without prior clearance from the outer systems tend to be forcibly boarded and searched. Didn't want to have to do that to him.

Tycho, if you expect these guys to survive being hit with heavy weapons like anti-tank rounds or hellthrowers- well, don't. There's a reason lone supertroopers aren't considered useful today.

'Fodder For Deathstrike Tanks'.

I think it should be fairly easy to find your way through the stellar mine field. But I will accept your idea that anyone not approaching through a choke point is regarded as hostile. This means that guys can show up right at your captial to attack, but in any other case (espionage, what have you) it would be incredibly difficult seeing as how even an "unmarker freighter" or something like that would be shot on sight.
