So...is everyone back from vacation or whatever else?
And also, when do we get points to build stuff?

I'd assume the answer is the same as the (unstated) answer I think loudly at customers when they ask 'when's it going to be done?' repeatedly.
'Longer every time you ask.'

Fuck. My computer apparently restarted itself or something and I lost the post I was working on, as well as some photo work. This month has been utter hell, and it's all these little things that makes it not worth living. Going to have to delay my response for a bit longer. -_-

You made a mistake, Starglider. The Pirate ships I captured were the Kraken-class battleship Balthier and 2 Blackblades. That makes 2 capital ships under myt belt so far for the loss of only 5 escorts

Updated. What exactly have you done with those Bootswellington ships and their crews?

by Thirdfain
Specifics will be posted shortly, but the Bootswellington ships are in dock being refitted, and the crews are being tried for piracy. There are serius political implications (admit it or not, the Kingdom is big enough to merit the same care a REAL nation would recieve) so we haven't done anything really nasty yet.

Wow, After I commenced the shep solution, I feel dirty. Now On that, Would Any Earth Power like to help me out by "playing reporter" asking questions in this thread, and I'll post the answers in one big post in my next IC post.

Can we get a simple 1,2,3 chronology of the events of the rebellion? That would help a lot, thanks.

The end of the rebellion? Dude, you just nuked two of your own cities. No, sir, this is just the beginning
As I alluded in my first post on the matter, the rebels of the South are organizeed into cells. A little crappy TV propaganda isn't going to finish them off; nor is on e city dead.

Actualy, if the reblion contiunes, I will simply delcare martial law, ban all personal weapons, order no orbital traffic, and block myself from all earth traffic, using orbital ships and weapons to stop trafficers. When one has 25 century tech, I can stop this in a few weeks. Just you wait. You are playing hardball, and Sector Investigations will show the full fury of the Uche. I only had one nuclear weapon fire, at Johanasburg, by one agent. Your group will be an unpouplar group, backed by forigen money, and hunted down like animals. Your patatheic Al-Qudea look alikes will be eliminated. Oh, and I cannot be held responsible if a terriorist hijacks another nuclear missile trick, and fires upon warsaw, or europe, or the east asian regions, or america.

Oh, yes, you can be. Because it was your fault for not stopping it. And I'm sure that you measures will work so well.

Then stop talking about it in the OOC thread and start breaking some heads.

You had 2 nukes go off, 1 in Johannesburg and 1 over the Uche's fortress.
As for their unpopularity, well, a million men in the Army and the resources sufficient to supply and organize them for a week revolted; there must have been some popular support.
Any single missile fired at Poland will be shot down by the air defense or absorbed by theater shields, it would take a full-on assault to break the defenses in place of a capital region.
Finally, well, even if the revolt IS crushed, your economy and society will suffer and there will be more nuclear explosions in your cities as it continues. Martial law and the shut-down of orbital traffic will put your nation in disarray. This stunt, regardless of it's intended effects, is going to have serious consequences.
Bring it on!
-edit- Oh, and in the meantime, I intend on pleasantly treating the Uche and offering my condolences and support constantly and publically. It will be positively saccharine.

To explain: I will periodically make posts from the GNN news station. Whether your nation gets it is up to you guys(THough it'd be a conscious choice not to receive, I think...), and whatever effect is has on public opinion is your own call.

By day 6, Polish weapons and mercenary advisors were in South Africa and a percentage of the Afrikaaner population rose up in revolt as well.

Rho, sorry for the kinda unusually sucky reply. After having written this thing up and losing it to an unexpected restart multiple times, I just don't have the heart to go through it again. Plus, I really want to get this scene moving again, so that I don't lose absolutely all inertia.

I've updated the OOB with my back-up nation, should anything unexpected and unseemly happen to the FEA. Their "specials" need validation and numeration from moderators, although there's no rush. I don't intend on using them for quite some time.

I was actually going to mention that it would probably be a good idea if some of us started thinking about our #2 nations. My #2's going to be a much simpler power. Once that gets beaten or retired #3 will be a little more serious.

#3 power? How long to you expect this game to go on for?
Did many people get on to #2 and #3 powers in past STGODs? If possible some kind of dramatic closure would be nice, with the last handful battered and bloody nations declaring either victory or peace through mutual exhaustion, rather than just letting it peter out. We can always start a new game if there's still interest, that makes it much easier for new players to come in too.
EDIT: Added Adrian Laguna to the
quick reference guide. By my count you have 21 points left to spend. BTW do you have a
map location yet?

#2's going to be a very simple power.
...I'm actually wondering if I can incorporate the aspects I want from #2 into #1...hmm.
