They remove inactive accounts at the start of each round (and reset active ones), so you'll likely have to create a new account.

My account died, I created a new one. I just bought a whole bunch of base defenses, I'm gonna hole up for a bit so I can save up for a good army... Aww, crap. I built 100 labs, but ran out of money for power plants, so no researching for me.
I went with the exploration bonus; seems the most worth while, allows you to not waste time on exploring to build labs.

I won't be around for much of this round with all the things I'm doing this summer, so I wouldn't mind if I was kicked out of BMRF for this round. I can always serve as as a source for easy money or something.
