A ceiling of 25,000 m with common warload, and a cruise speed of Mach 3, with up to Mach 3,2 possible in extreme circumstances are the project goals. Cost overruns for a serial machine would make it's price around 80-100 million probably.
I'll go edit my latest news post.
Are there bunker busting warhead options for the missiles we have?

Yes, though if Shep is following the AT&T model, they would be hardened, and the system will automatically route around damage to itself. It would be robust in the face of damage, but enough could start decoupling the system.
Yeah. Of course Shep's systems are resilent. My main argument is that they are very far from invulnerable, and the BOMARCs contrary to Shep's assertions can be downed at altitudes of 70-80K feet by AAMs like Phoenix or AMRAAM from a range of ~60-50 mi or less.

Also, you guys want Aegis? We'll sell, seeing as how your ships have some trouble facing mass air attack due to less-capable combat suites.

Thanks. What kind of "trouble" do we have? The NATO armories don't field serious AShMs which would pose a real threat to our carrier battlegroup at all. Most of that comes from aircraft - and the S-300FM is a good system, while refitting our ships with "Mars-Passat" radars that are satellite-augmented we'll get a cheapman's AEGIS.
Considering the many different SAMs from CIWS to long-range that we have fitted on our ships, we have a three-tiered and well-thought defense.
AEGIS and many other systems can be overwhelmed. The key is destroying the platform before it launches, as always.

You have all the individual pieces of the system, yes. Fine SAMs and CIWS, I'm not discounting that, but there's overload in mass attack scenarios. Nothing like Western-style cooperate engagement, for example, and I'm not sure if S-300 can time-share like Standard can, either.
Yes, but that was without MARS-PASSAT (NATO: Sky Watch) integrated radar system with the "Lesorub" FSC system. This is 2008, and we have ample electronics industries in the SNC, so we finished what the USSR started but did not, due to lack of funds. MARS-PASSAT arrays and the Lesorub fire control center could take over 40 targets from each of the two distributed "PODKAT" radars on forward warning ships (all in all, 80 targets). Simultaneous engagement with several "Palash" and "Kashtan" missiles from each ship would be very much possible.
A little less than AEGIS with 100+ targets, but still fine, especially as the defense is multi-layered.

If that's the case, well, here's my offer.
- $1.5 billion for twelve S-300PMU-2 batteries
- $1.2 billion for six S-400 batteries
- $0.3 billion for other goodies (twenty-four Su-25s [sixteen single-seaters and eight two-seaters] refitted to accept both NATO and WarPac ordinance)
Flat $3 billion total. Deal?

P.S. The order of Soviet ships can use the S-300FM with the F-1M radar (TOMB STONE MOD.) on Slava, Kirov or Kara Mod. if the S-300 have been uprun to FM standard - in addition to the MARS-PASSAT which would guide all "palash" and "kashtan" missiles. Each radar can track up to 12 targets from all directions and engage up to 6 targets simultaneously with S-300 missiles. The Tomb Stone is powerful and boasts a really good range (300 km) as a result.

I have to ask if anyone would sell advanced fighters and SAMs to a friendly, small neutral nation who really has no intention of going anywhere. For that matter is anyone building ships?

Yes. Formidable class frigates, F-100 frigates. What do you need.
As for fighters, I'm not sure if I have room for production for you.

So Byzantium is going to sell sensitive military equipment to a nation with legalized chattel slavery?

I keep forgetting that Norseman is running a nation that allows slavery.

To give you guys some idea of what's along the DMZ, here are a picture from the DMZ in real life between North and South Korea:
Highway near the DMZ. I've measured that ditch and its 106~ feet wide. Note the bridge over it. Probably pre-wired to blow in wartime.
Same thing is on just about every highway in the DMZ, they're either easily blocked by landslides already prelaid, or have bridges like that...

By the way, speaking of my surface fleet of two Kidds operational, you can go ahead and sink them all. THey don't even have NTU at all; that upgrade was delayed and cancelled to pay for the sub program.

Here's another boarder fortification, again along the Eastern Coast of South Korea:
That anti-tank wall is 60+ feet THICK, and those pilings extend out to high tide, but not low tide, boo...
No doubt the little passes through the wall are mined for detonation and blocking in the case of a war; and blasting your way through that wall is going to take a lot of time and explosives...

Losing 21% of your attacking force is bad, Okay? I'm not going to recreate every single little airbattle; I'm just concentrating on the battle of the airfields.
SOMETHING shot down those F-101s and F-106s operating in the air defense role. If you think the percentages are too low; I can notch up the losses by a couple percentage points (5-10%)

By the way, those SAM sites I bombed and suppressed will be back in a day or two; as replacement operators and equipment are put into service -- I'm assuming that the Old Dominion was not stupid and spent much of the last 40 years in building up a huuuuuge reserve of war mobilization stockpiles; and also is raiding MESS REFORD supply depots -- e.g. the Old Dominion Army loses a Patriot site or two today, and goes to REFORD depot #56A and picks out a Canissian/Wilkonian or whatever Patriot battery as replacements.
Of course, this means that Canissia or Wilkonia will be issuing Lonestar a Bill for the equipment after the war.
