What did I fucking say no more then 12 posts above of yours? I’m not the fucking one with bio weapons, and I’m not the one fucking demanding that all wars end in unquestioned MESS victory.
If you've changed it, then I'm sorry. I saw you threaten it for a land invasion of Shepistan and it stuck out. There were three threads (OOC ones, not including the Story thread) I went through earlier and I apologize for not memorizing the timestamps.

As for "unquestioned MESS victory" I'm not saying that; hell I even said we'd accept the losses, pull back and figure out a new plan. That's not flawless victory by any means. As to victory overall, well it's four Imperiums and a Tsardom against another Tsardom. In this case he's not going to be able to hold out indefinately, so ultimately yes we'd win it out. How much the victory will cost is up in the air.

What? Didn't you say in the "jump to the end of the war" poll thread that you'd use biological warfare if the MESS started a land invasion??
Actually I do have relations with many nations moron, but the SNC, which is the only alliance bloc it would be remotely sensible for Japanistan to join is defacto part of the MESS, and has completely ignored my efforts to create a new defensive alliance which would affect only conflicts on the old continent.
The SNC is a defacto part of the MESS? Dude, I think you seriously misinterpreted the SNC and MESS-- we get along, but from our point of view there's tension. Tension over the Tian Xia/Tian Jiao situation; tension of Byzantium's dual-status; and tension in Canissia over my leniency with the CSR's open pursuit of nukes. I admit I haven't RP'ed that as much as I'd liked to by this time...
If people are going to fucking keep trying to blame me for everything then I don’t care what the wars result is, I’m not going to keep taking this fucking bullshit.
Man, no one's blaming you for anything. I honestly do not see where this is coming from. I'm frustrated with the way the whole thing has become a technobabble war, period. No one is saying the MESS should have bloodless, easy victories (I posted more losses on my side with both the bomber raid and the invasion post, where I mentioned that MESS forces had taken up to 60% casualties).

From our perspective, every time we try to do something, there's a magical technobabble'd counter that nullifies it. A radar that puts out such a powerful emission it can see stealth planes, but cannot be locked onto or found. Antennas that can guide missiles in the air, but instantly pop back into cover at the exact second of a HARM strike, to pop out again and resume guiding their missiles to strike incoming bombers. Seriously.

Personally I'm this |.| close to pulling the plug on it myself. It's just gotten too aggravating. And not just the whole war thing, though the whole thing has highlighted my problems. I get on once, maybe twice a day and I'm 4-5 pages behind. I mean with all this selling of stuff deals are sought, discussed and finalized by the time I even knew they were on the table.

Yeah I did forget about Skimmer opening up to the SNC (though if I recall it was also to get Canissia out of the MESS, but at least it's contact). Sorry about that.

But overall I'm behind on a lot of things. I can't ever make a deal, because they're either done by the time I get here or if I'm lucky enough to be at the start of one, the whole "This is better; no THIS is better" arguments go on after I'm gone and when I get back it's been settled.

I find myself skimming a lot of posts. The whole FTO conflicts stuff? The slave prisoners story? I barely know what's going on with that because I simply don't have the time it'd take to read through all of it. I've mostly been forced to skip to stuff I think might be important to me. And that's a lousy way to play the game.

I don't want to just stick my country on autopilot and miss out on, well, everything. There's quite a bit of story potential I'd like to explore. But with everything important happening when I'm offline (heck that War of the Cities thing was started and ended before I even knew it was there) it's rather annoying. In game terms it's like the Shinra Republic is just sitting there doing nothing.

It's nobodies fault really (I can't begrudge you time zones or the fact your free time doesn't nicely coincide with mine) but it is making for a lousy gameplay experience.

Not sure what to do about it to be honest. Well with the MESS/Shepistan war "on hold" I guess I have some time to figure it out.

Now I'm bowing out of this STGOD. I just feel that I'm losing interest in it, and want to do other things with my time.

Raj Athen, Coilerburg is yours. Take good care of it.

Well alright. Anyone in the FTO want to help run Coilerburg?

Edit: what does everyone else think about two nations for one man? Personally I think I wouldn't have time to run Coilerburg as it would deserve. One nation plus a bunch of neighboring shitholes are quite enough for me as it is.

Edit Mk2: On further Consideration of the issue, If Coiler is pulling out, having Coilerburg beome an NPC state wouldn't be out of order. The Junta in Coilerburg seems rather inward looking, wanting to perfect coilerburg's society and all, so having them sitting aroud wouldn't be out of character for them.

Hell, I know how you fell about barely being able to keep up with things, epecially on Frequesue.

It looks like issues on that continent should settle down some now though. At least I hope so, as there is more than enough going on already to keep everybody occupied for quite a while.

I'm going to try to cool things down on Frequesue by simply slowing down the pace of what all the various factions I'm de facto running are doing.

No I just said that was what an invasion of Shepistan was going to turn into; because Shep had the weapons, and he’d have every reason to use them in that situation. Japanistan would only be using chemicals because that’s all it has, abet a number of very nasty concoctions such as dusty VX.

Frequesue posts are pretty hard to follow… but if this isn’t a war game then maybe its about time the wars die down on that place for a while, and everyone concentrates some time of more technological and economic development.

Maybe there needs to be a dedicated thread for the war - as in with the POV posts of soldiers exploding and airplanes catching fire and stuff. The "main thread" will be the commentaries of news articles and politicians haggling and shit.

He'd lack means of delivering enough of that to make it an endgame war, however, as I'm sure you know. Even Japanistan and Shepistan combined could not "kill everyone", in fact, as of now no one can. Sure, the MESS would probably get some damage with Shep attacking their nations (mostly OD though, other nations are far out of his reach, and they do have advanced interceptors to kill Shep's old bombers, even disregarding the losses to his bomber force over the sea battles against CVBGs), but they would use WMDs on Shep in return, and it would be over for his nation anyway.

Shroom, dude. Concentration camps?!?!?!

Seriously tone that shit down.

And yes you can send your people over as observers.

Actually I think Stas will send some of his dudes too.

I think I'll slow that story down until the current situation is resolved.

EDIT:
SHADOWLAND UBER ALLES!

The article itself didn't mention concentration camps. My own personal OOC rantings, now, they're ranting and raving about concentration camps.

Alarmists would also worry about concentration camps and would see the Shadows going about goosestepping. Even if the Shadows didn't goosestep and didn't have concentration camps, the alarmists would still think they were going about Holocausting people. 'Cause, well, Shadows scare people and everyone is very bloody scared at this point of time.

Come on. You just annexed and grabbed large quantities of land. I'm sure there would be people screaming about how Shadow soldiers are eating newborn babies.

[Considering PeZook's got lunatics that rant and rave about New World Order conspiracies, yeah.]

It's a realistic reaction of some people in my populace. Just like how a realistic reaction of some people in the Border States would be to take up arms and rise up against their new Sarajevo overlords. :P

Those foreign words are Nazi German catchphrases.

It's indeed a realistic reaction to a landgrab. ;) Even if it was devised by the SNC as a quiet-and-positive overtake for the good of our Continental Defense Plan, a lot of people in Old Continent will be mightily scared of the events.

I believe that PeZookia was not in on the loop?

Shroomania will probably request observer status in the SNC, just so we know what your guys are up to. ;)

Best not scare the bejesus out of neighbors who are trying to be Super Best Friends with you, mangs. ;)

That was mostly Shady's plan. I was but an observer, I didn't take an active part (well, aside from blasting Zagorian mooks a little, which PeZook also participated in) until Shady basically finished the deed. His intelligence planned it, I was only aware of the general course he's pursuing (I believe so were Pezook and Fingolfin?)

Ahh, fodder for rising anti-CSR sentiment among Canissian citizens.

Not CSR, USSR.

EDIT:

Shady can reverse the damage it he reorganizes this into a multi-lateral thing, allowing an international coalition of dudes in to help with the reconstruction.

A LOT of people will still be pissed over the landgrab.

No why, we're Shady's "Big Brother" so we'll get our part of "blah blah blah" too I guess. After all we're mostly indifferent and even cooperative for Shady's takeover, since it's seen as beneficial to our security from say Japanistan and / or MESS in the greater scheme of things.

Technically, it should be USSR alone, but the fact that the CSR provided modest assistance, and are openly pursuing nuclear weapons, and they are seen as "pressuring" Byzantium to leave the MESS... aggregate effect among the typical populace will be 'darn those Slavic union guys! Why is the King so buddy-buddy with them!'

As the MESS/Shep war dies down, people will pay attention to what's going on. King Paul will still be seen as a moderate, and the attitude will be 'why can't the CSR as a whole be more like King Paul; he's a decent guy, etc'.

We're "seen as"? We are
why can't the CSR as a whole be more like King Paul; he's a decent guy
King Paul doesn't have an annexed client territory on the other side of the world that is full of MESS-hating ppl for one :P also, King Paul was a merry old soul, and a merry old soul was he. But you probably know that

P.S. Sure, go on with the tensions. Without tensions, it's boring. After all, the CSR isn't a DMZ - it's a great power which has it's own interests and doesn't yield much to anyone... that time is past. Especially since the bitter experience with the FTO :P

DAMN! I must look at how this whole bullshit is affecting my own popularity polls (Poles, heheheh) and demographics and shit.

I shall be more aggressive in pushing for international oversight in the Border States!

I informed all SNC dudes of my plan, so they knew about it.

I also told Marina about it, and she said "go for it, if you can get away with it".

But your Big Brother requires lip service to be paid! Some CSR troops must be let in as observers... even if in isignificant numbers ;) I'm sure that's not a huge problem.

Of course not, bro. Bring as many as you feel is necessary.
