I'm a large, technologically superior nation, about to invade a heavily populated, hostile country. It's technology is inferior, and it's not very well organized (to the point that there are different warlords and even an entire section controlled as a seperate state by the Communists,) but it's huge and full of soldiers. Basically, I'm looking for a lengthy, bloody ground war to bloody my troops, toughen up the greenies, and, if no one interferes, will eventually make me much more powerful.

Of course, it could equally be turned into a lengthy conflict which will divide your nation, weaken your position on the galactic stage, and suck up resources like a black hole.
Hrm. Now, which truck do I want to have my stuff fall off of, is the question to this galactic dictator.

If no one starts fishing for risks this game, it'll get boring fast. This move is pretty obviously a challenge (or will be, once I declare war...)

Yep, except Nam invites comparisons to the USSR supplying Nam.

Gosh, I mean, I'm only sitting on turf occupied by the MOSPAC powers. By the way, while you're fighting there, I'm gonna break the precious Prime Directive treaties. I wonder if anyone will notice?

There's a prime directive? What is it, Something like, "Shoot first?"

Nah, first let them get culture shock THEN pump them full of techs

I never signed any Prime Directive treaty... but go ahead and do what you will with such primitive worlds, it'll still be years before you get much out of them. Industrial worlds are the fat, juicy targets

Okay, how much additional build points do we get for the time that has passed?

Its in the Info thread. needless to say, your 60 capship build order is slightly over the limit, and if you are undertaking simultaneous construction, won't be ready for around 10 years at a rate that won't cripple your economy(Although your lack of escort and cruiser builds may cut that down to 7, 5 if you are lucky and the mods favor you).

Didn't we just wrap up a six month build acceleration before the gameplay died off? I understood the agreement was to hold off on yet more ships.

by InnocentBystander
Yes, the game made a single 6 month jump.

Umm, the Hub wasn't invited, it's a meeting of colonial officials although your people are probably aware that it is taking place.

Well, I know about it, I'll come in and act insulted.

EDIT: oh you fucking nice set up, coming from a mile off but hell of a way to expand. *grumbles and plots*

Sorry it took so long on those supplies, Ace. As you can see, I'm taking no chances with the shipment.

Hmm, maybe:
Captain tycho wrote:
A new capital ship, the Lawgiver-class Legios, is just beginning to enter major production. It is a brand new and highly advanced design that will eventually replace the Emperor Legios. It is more compact, carries more weaponry, and has better power generation capabilties. 12 Lawgivers are currently under construction at Aexar. They will be completed in roughly one year.
Lawgiver-class Legios (5 pts per ship, 12 under construction, est. active duty in one year)
Length: 8.3km
Weapons: 7,000 laser cannons, 2,300 torpedo launchers, 1,500 fusion cannons, 3 Nova cannons
That 60 point build? The one that is still in your official ORBAT.
Edited to include full relevant text, my bad.
