Only if you catch me. :P

Seriously, we need to work out some kind of system for determining who wins what. A fair one.

Well, Byzantium's Michael Schumacherius is, like, totally the best. He'll be #1 for sure. But then again, Shroomania has shitloads of companies competing - so the law of averages will be in our favor! We've also got our own Big Name Brands.

Shroom, feel free to come and visit. But we're a bit more...Serious...than Shroomania.

Guys, what kind of nuclear missiles can be fitted into the B-1 bomber? :)

Just about any missile/bomb that the US arsenal has, short of ballistic missiles.

Wiki states that the only nukes it carries are gravity bombs! :(

I'm not sure where I read it, but I would think the B-1B/C can probably do whatever the B-52H/J? can do. It's not that difficult anyway, since the bomber has pylons and you could mount cruise missiles and such on them.

I think the B-1C ought to be able to carry and launch nuclear ALCMs, both internally and on external pylons. Perhaps it doesn't currently do so in OTL (because of START or the nuclear rerole plan or something), but then this planet isn't OTL.

What Baerne said, minus the 'more serious' part.

I thought that was the Magic 8-ball?

Hey, I can pick your winners! And it won't be "everybody dies in a firey crash" either.

Well, maybe it will.

The B-1 was originally supposed to be capable of carrying cruise missiles, but treaty limitations have denied it the capability (excepting either one or two that have special blade antennas specifically to mark them as cruise missile carriers). There is no technical reason why it couldn't carry them.

It should be noted that the B-1 formerly carried the AGM-69 SRAM ballistic missile until that weapon was retired.

General warning but I'm getting ready to start pressing folks to sign the Bioweapons treaty as we still have some notable exceptions. I'm offering this up in case anybody wants to sign off now and not have me blasting PMs at them :D

Mechanical failures and food poisoning? :D Man, that's a bad showing for the most prestigious branch of the armed forces... At least we got the chimp back out alive!

HEY! This means a drunk Shroom can reclaim Chim Chim in San Dorado!

"I knew you would make it, old friend. I was waiting for you," the Premier said.

"Oook ook ook?" Chim Chim asked silently.

Shroom looked him straight in the eyes.
"Oook oook."

Happens to the best. The kittens died because of a thermostate failure, after all ;)

Besides, you don't prove you're the best by sailing around in good weather. You prove you're the best by kicking Fate in the nuts, gouging out its eyes and screaming "FUCK YOU!!!" to its face when it tries to screw you over :)

And damn, I knew Shroom would like Chim Chim :P

It will be more appropriate that he be known as Yuri Shroompov.

He may as well be German Titov or Vladimir Komarov. Any of the three could've been Cosmonaut #1 ;)

But the CSR might as well give the honour to Shroomania. All laurels will go to Shroom, while I will concentrate on an industrial-scale space expansion and what future brings ;)

PeZook already mentioned Alan Shroompard in his previous posts. Besides, Byzantium gets to have the world's awesomest launchpad and the CSR's rockets are the bleeding edge. It's time for Shroomania to kick ass with its Asstronauts!

Stas can have the future space stuff. I mean, I know totally jack crap about that stuff.

But I did recently just watch 2OOl: Space Odyssey for the first time. :)

There will be plenty of firsts to go around. The first man in space is, in the grand scheme of things, pretty minor compared to, say, the first lunar fuel processing plant operator. While the second job may not be as glamorous, it's a thousand times more important :)

Possible firsts:
- First man to orbit the Earth
- First spacewalk
- First rendezvous and docking
- First untethered spacewalk
- First orbital handshake
- First lunar flyby
- First lunar orbit
- First man on the Moon
- First man to spend 1/4/8/20+ days on lunar surface
- First lunar construction
- First man to step on any of the other planets
- First spacewalk in interplanetary space
- First spacewalk in lunar orbit

Etc. - you see where I'm coming from :D

And since Shroompard has already been slated for Mercury 3, well...if Stas wants a SNC guy, he can always infect Shroompard him with Shroombola so that his backup will fly instead :P
