Two delegates from the Three Suns Commonwealth approached the UTR ambassador.

"We are interested in strengthening ties with our forebears on Terra. We propose a free trade alliance to the UTR, and additionally would like to work with you in drawing up plans for the reclamation and settling of the ravaged sections of the former UTR."

The United Terran Republic will not sign any military treaties with any power so newly born to this galaxy. We have learned from our past mistakes. As for a trade agreement, we would be willing to waive import and export taxes for TSC ships if the TSC would be willing to reciprocate.

Of course TSC vessels would still have to undergo all customs insopections and safety inspections as well as pay all necessary fees and licenses to operate in the UTR.

"We agree wholeheartedly to your terms on the trade agreement. On the other hand there is the issue of a vast swath of devestated space between the UTR and the TSC. We are under constant threat from pirates and raiders operating out of these areas, and are interested in directing our fleets in pacifying and settling these regions.
It is understood that you are engaged in similar operations.

In the interests of peace, we would like to draw up a plan which allows us both to continue our efforts in the devastated areas without any misunderstandings."

The TSC delegate presented a small holographic map of the area.

"We propose that TSC fleets operate out to 2500 lightyears beyond our border to the galactic north, restricting their operations to systems in the Cygnus arm. Everything to the north of this area, the sections of ravaged space in the Perseus and Orion arm, will be left to you. This way, our fleets can operate safely."

The UTR is glad to see that the TSC recongnizes the place of Earth in the galaxy. The UTR is constantly involved int eh terraforming of dozens of lifeless wolrds that were once prosperous colonies and worlds. TSC advisors would be welcome to join scientists from Mars University whoa re studying the effects of the terraofroming and working on new technigues.

We would be willling to set up an exchange program that could allow non UTR scientists to adid the commitee. As for the resettling of those world in the UTR, these are our worlds and will be settled by our people. We are always interested in the import of high quality terraforming equipment and would like to study example of TSC equipment.

Edit:
The UTR agrees with your proposed areas of operation between our borders, though we require that no territory can be claimed in this area until it is settled by the claimant power.

Our own research into terraforming has largely focused on the modification of human flesh to best survive in adverse conditions, and even that research has born few fruits- most of the modified human forms we use are archeo-technology. Never the less, we are still willing to lend what assistance we can.
The UTR agrees with your proposed areas of operation between our borders, though we require that no territory can be claimed in this area until it is settled by the claimant power.
We are glad you see reason. Order and stability may be brought once more to this region!

The PRC would like to inquire to the Azegart about the various genetic modifications that they had received. We are quite interested in trying to settle some fairly high gravity worlds, because of their resources.

The PRC would also like to open an embassy in the following nations: Azegart, SKS, and the UTR.

We would be willing to send you the details of it by secure courier. But in general the modifications include and increased bone density, a stronger cicrulatory system and a respiroty system adapted to the higher oxygen densities.

Naturally you would be allowed to open an embassy provided we are allowed to do the same in your star-nation.

The UTR would be willing to allow interested friendly nations to set up embassies on our capital world, and the homeworld of manking, Earth. We do require that no one bring weapons to the planet, as such incident have the possibility of getting messy when you pass throught he Universe Shield.

We will no permit any nation to operate armed vessels within UTR space, so travel must be by unarmed vessel for all Ambassadors and there staffs. If you are concerned about security a Guard force could meet such ships at the border and escort them to Earth.

Do not attempt any attacks on Earth, they will end about as well as any other invasion or attack on Earth has ended. Even the Boyd eventually learned this lesson, do not be as dense as them.

The Royal Navy doesn't even have two thousand modern ships. We could use ten times that many and still be understrength. They don't need another flag officer on the rolls. "
Chmrran-Tsitok said, "I would not claim that we were ever so strong--we were turned back by your fleets even in your dark hours. But once was the time when uncountable heroes across a whole galaxy looked to the Patriarch and faced enemies only at great distance. Now we are fewer and the territory is smaller. But it is better for our warriors this way, I think, now that each of them goes to the barricades and can try to win a name for himself. Times of blood and darkness are sorrow for men and youma, but for Kzinti it is the best."

"In ten thousands of years, perhaps Heroes will look back on these days and wish they had such opportunity to make their names," he paused, then continued with his tail lashing in amusement, "If your kinds have not conquered us by then, of course."

Ambassador Durgas walked over to the UTR representative.

"Do you mind if we send and escort through interstellar space?"

They can wait outside your border.

Attention all delegates.

The KSE homeworld of Krytos is now open to diplomats from other nations. Any who wish to set up diplomatic embassys their should inform us now.

Agreed. The capital city of Krytar should have many available spots

(OOC: Exactly how much does your new empire remember about what went down between us and the Asgard?)

"Excellent. We'll make arrangements for a diplomatic envoy."

(OOC: A lot of it though it's been longer enough to become somewhat mythical)

The Three Suns would like to establish an embassy on Krytos, as well as one on Terra.

Two TSC delegates, one uncommonly burly, the other extremely tall and willowy, encased in a wiry exoskeleton, approached the representative of the Patriarchy.

"We propose an alliance of free trade between your empire and ours. We believe that in this time of decay, it is necessary for the old empires and the new to band together, in mutual trade and profit."

Your ambassadors will be most welcome, as will a free trade agreement.

(Ok, just ignore the free trade BS then. I think the KSE will show up somewhere between the UTR and the Azgert)

"The construction will begin immediately, and we'll be able to send the first materials. We accept payment on delivery." He cleared his throat.
"And we will send our construction crew for the trade outpost to said system as soon as possible. Furthermore, we would be interested in setting up an embassy on your world."

The Aegis ambassador turns up somewhere, with a bored look on his face.

He sits down, and starts spinning some ancient coins on the table in front of him.

"Has anyone got anything pleasurable that we haven't thought of yet?" he asks, unhopeful. "If you do, and are prepared to trade, it could encourage relations between our races in future, and that's always a good thing."

"How about tourism? The Thousand Gardens of Desjardins are renowned as one of the wonders of the modern Galaxy.

Regardless, the Three Suns offer a free trade alliance to the Aegis."

Might I suggest a vacation to Earth? It's unique in the galaxy, the perfect planet. The Universe Shield places the planet in another universe that has as it's most basic law "protect planet and it's inhabitants." So no harm can befall anyone. It is also the homeworld for the most numerous species in this galaxy.

Please contact the Ambassador if you might be interested. Access to Earth is limited though.

Ambassador Dellstar sat down casually in the chair across from Ambassador Nguyen. "Interesting little assembly of delegates we have here. Very eager, very trusting."

"Very naive you mean. They rush to open free trade with everyone they meet. Some of them are going to have very rude awakanings when they realize who they're realy trying to do business with. Look at all of them, ask any of them and they would tell you that they are all the sould of good and innocence." The look of disgust on his face was visible for only a split second, but Chris saw it even so.

"True. I actually agree and don't expect this initial round of friendship to last too long. It probably won't be pretty when that happens, but until then there are opportunites to be made. I've already made some major finincial influxes for the Republics economy. All for little to no risk. At the same time I also opened up another market for our goods." He was rather proud of the deal that he'd recently signed.

Nguyen looked across his glass and looked at the terran. "I did see that. Some of these people have very little understanding of the galaxy and how diplomacy and politics works. This intial goodwill is soon going to disipate" With that he sat back and began to finish his meal.
