Connar was the last to follow the group in, he moved at an almost leisurely pace as he moved down the stairs to take up the rear. He frowned slightly as leah looked for cover and lifted the radio to ask for an update when the responce came through the radio. Quietly he crouched down into cover and waited

As you creep forward silently the shapes make no movement. After a moment you realize they are in fact statues.

Angelina relaxes, but only slightly. "Statues. Let's keep moving."

I stand back up, and slowly creep foreward, trying to get a better look.

He nodded to the others and lifted the radio

"Lets press on "

The chamber has a doorway opposite the stairs, and four statues standing along the walls, there is badly worn writing carved into the stones around the doorframe.

I try and read it.

Connar looked up and shook his head

"Let Allen handle it. I won't have rivalries between you two. Vasquez, Assume a defensive position and watch ahead."

He turned quickly and took up a position in cover to watch the stairs heading down into the chamber

Dr Allen looked carefully at the inscription.
"It looks to be similar to ancient hebrew, it says something about 'Here lies the chambers of....' this part is worn away '...in the city of Enoch'"

Angelina stands guard at the doorway they came through, chewing a piece of gum. "Enoch eh. Nice to know this place has a name."

"I'd prefer to know that this place was dead and deserted..." He muttered, moving to lean up against the wall while they waited for Allen to do his thing

Allen looked at them and shrugged.
"Hammond told us to find out who built the city and what happened to them...I'd guess we might find more inside here."

Connar moved forward to take point, and wait at the corner of the mouth to deeper within the structure, He looked around slightly, pointing the mp5 out just after him. With that he pressed on deeper into the building..

"Copy that Colonel." Angelina spit her gum into her hands, then wrapped it up and put it back into her equipment pack. "Don't wanna waste it." she said, smiling.

(This is the problem with playing when a major party member is at school.. I dont have internet access until 3:30 Mountain Standard Time)

Dr. Allen followes behind, pistol out. Scanning the walls for any inscriptions

Beyond the doorway the corridor splits in two, heading left and right away from you into the darkness. The silence of the place sits heavy on you all as you pause for a moment before contiuing into the gloom....

"Which way?"

Connar crouched before the twin directional paths and lifted the mp5 to brace as he held cover on the path. He focused on the way towards either direction and was ready for anything coming down it.

"Leah, I told you to stay with Vasquez at the entrance....."

He muttered and kept his eye on the path

"Both of you, get up here on the double." He said into the radio, turning a question back to the good doctor.

"Opinions?" Meaning their choice set out before them

Both paths looked almost identical, the carved stone walls almost seamless in their fit...
