I like the way he insists everywhere that there are "multiple socks" running around in the forum even though he can't identify one (he refuses to even admit he was wrong about Sean). Apparently, on the starwars.com forums modship is a license to slander and lie with impunity.

It basically is. The big issue I had with him before I was banned was that he misquoted me repeatedly. When I called him on it, he ignored my statements and CONTINUED misquoting me, insisting that it was correct. When I took it to the Forum Feedback, after brushing off my complaints he simply banned me to get it over with.

So....

IF we ever get an address out of those cretins, then GET THOSE LETTERS IN THE MAIL!

Good idea with the envelope mail. Send it certified mail. I was going to subscribe to Hyperspace, but not after what I just saw. Which leads to:

OK Ender, Ghost Rider: I just saw the shit they pulled on the boards over there and now I think you're right to be pissed off at Pablo. This is more than just a backhand in the Insisder. Let 'em have it!

I prefer my crow well done.

I was just banned for keeping my off-topic issues out of the Pablo thread and posting them in the Forum Feedback forum as instructed.

Maybe you're supposed to keep Forum Feedback forum mod criticism out of the FF forum and post it in the Pablo thread instead?

EDIT: oh my posts were deleted also, even if they were all on-topic.

Basically, the rule is that the mods can't take any kind of criticism whatsoever. They are acting like petulant children, refusing to admit mistakes, vindictively cutting down opponents in debates by misrepresenting them or even slandering them (eg- the accusation that the thread is full of "socks") and then banning them if they respond, etc.

We need to figure out what address to send letters to. Does anyone have any idea where we should be sending letters?

Does anyone have any examples of post-editing to incriminate? I don't go there enough to notice changes.

Obviously, mods delete anything that betrays their abusive behavior. I think they're actually protecting themselves from some manager finding about it.

It shows that they are unable to do a simple IP check ... which means that it is actually encouraging me to create multiple socks! :D

Anyway Dark Moron --- sorry Moose, has now locked the thread saying it is being put to bed, I have posted in Forum Feedback pointing out that Pablo told us to mail in, but failed to mention an address. Enderwastaken asked, but Pablo hadn't responded yet, so I would like him to respond.

Well Dark moose just locked the thread as:
As the purpose of this thread has been addressed by Pablo himself, and he's given instructions on how to address it further, I see no reason to leave open a thread that can only serve to offend by whatever answer given.

Maybe by shutting this thing down, folks can avoid getting confused about how to properly report Forum Feedback and get banned.

So I guess we will have to start a new one.

Also as I have a clean account I will post asking for an adress to send our letters to, And I will keep pics of everything.

I agree with your guys 100% here, but I'm not sure what the end goal of a letter campaign is.

These are the main questions.
-What exactly do you want corrected or done?
-Who are you going to get in contact with to fix it that might give a damn?

The second is a major problem. The problem is that the higher ups at LucasFilm don't give a shit. This isn't JMS, who actually might care about his fans. LucasFilm's a monster movie company. This isn't necessarily true, but the perception of such letter campaign is that it's from obsessive internet nerds who take StarWars too seriously and no one will read them.

IDG Entertainment. It looks like they don't have an editor assigned for SW Insider yet. They have some ads out, I'd wager they are going to hire someone new.

Asked for an adress and mentioned how some mods are not being polite - too screenies of everything - so lets see if they reply.

Its things like this that piss me off

I just sent that Moose thug an email. According to his profile it's

TheDarkMoose@jedi-council.com

I don't really know the forum policy about posting personal information that's public anyway.

It looks like IDG Ent. is publishing SWI now.

http://www.idg-entertainment.com/mediak ... e_id=35350

I haven't found a good e-mail address yet, but the people to write to are:

Lisa Stevens, CEO of Paizo, remains president of the Fan Club.

IDG Entertainment Senior Vice President Francis Mao

You aren't kidding...I ask the guy for proof that I'm a sock-puppet. The result?

This hand-job:
Or, you can just move on and post, and stop trying to turn everything into a debate.

It makes me think I was right in the first place.
I was getting a little hot about this earlier in the day, but when I read that last Mooseshit message, I could've hit the roof. I don't take kindly to being falsely accused of anything, especially lying. I gave him a chance to do the right thing, and I was polite about it. He wouldn't budge, showing what a poor excuse of a man he is.

As you can imagine, I'm strongly tempted to tell Moose to kiss off. So I'll I have to wash my hands of SW.com :?...oh well. With many of the intelligent people threatened, temp-banned or kicked out altogether, I see little to gain by hanging around. To play a broken record, their discussions have no standards save "kiss the moderators' asses"; and no matter how well you make your case, their WoI is impregnable.

It's really too bad the imbeciles' "Feedback Forum" is simply their dark little corner, a place where they can be rude outside most regulars' line of sight. After the way they just railroaded Mike for no good reason, I don't think I'll bother with it again, whatever I decide to do.

Holy Hell Batman.

I Honestly didn't know there were forums on the net where the moderators abused their power in such a manner. What's really shocking is that a corporation who's basically running off of a niche group (sci-fi fans) is letting these idiots just shit on their fanbase.

Incidently, am I the only one to think that "Sham Bam Bigelow" Is a giant cockblock?

No, but that "M Perror Palpy" is an even bigger sack of shit.

And speaking of sacks of shit, have you guys read what Dark Moose and Pablo Hidalgo have been up to?

So, you think if I started posting there I would be a "sock puppet"? It seems even If the mods are called on their fuckups they outright lie.

I geninuely don't understand it. Why would they be so petty? Christ, it's a simple matter of checking the IP. I just find it beyond amazing that anyone could be such a jackass moderator. For a organization that should be concerned about it's public image.

Isn't there a way to page/screen capture? We could use that as evidence. Maybe Wayne could host a new page with incriminating evidence on SW.com forum mod/admin conduct?

Their whole attitude is simple. it is composed of precisely two thoughts, which is apparently enough to fill their brains to capacity:

1) "My party line, right or wrong."
2) "Us versus You."

As the old saying goes, you cannot reason people out of a position that they did not reason themselves into in the first place. They adopt their position not because it makes sense, but because A) they admittedly leapt to it without thinking, and B) because Pablo says so. And since Pablo has connections to Lucasfilm, they all worship the ground he walks on and feel no compunctions at all about lying and slandering and cheating in their crusade to defend him from all critics.

Now that we know that there's a problem with things like that, sure. However, when they first started doing to me, I lost over 50 pages of evidence against them when they sought to eradicate evidence of my existence from their boards.

Mike, Question,

Do you think Moderators on any board are held to a higher standard? Because this Dark Moose charecter pretty much admitted in forum feedback that it's his perogrative to abuse his power;
I am not held to any magical "higher standard", nor am I held to any lower standard

Believe it or not, but since my job in the navy is a "repair tech/company computer guy" (albeit for information and equipment that will never see the light of day), we had a section in "A" school where were instructed in customer service. ALL of it is common decency stuff. This guy, and his mod buddies, really and truly are dickheads who enjoy their petty power.

Or am I misreading it?

Oh, they're definitely enjoying their abuse of power. People complain about moderators on webboards all the time, but when you treat a paying customer like that, it's a whole different level of assholery. And their behaviour is poor (albeit not unique) even by the standards of webboards run by individuals, never mind webboards run by big companies for paying customers.
