Meep. Just joking! *Hides knives*
This actually works OK; Today, while spending roughly an eternity in the pubic (not a misspelling) transport system, I decided to steal the Brutes from Halo because they rock.
Yeah, I'm original as all get-out.

You're all fucking heart.
All the same, I'll remember that line next time I hit on a widow. Since it obviously works for such a renowned lady's man such as yourself, it would have to work great for me too...

I think I've been burned. Maybe I should stop making trouble for myself. Taunting the assassin, Petrosjko, and considering putting Typhonus's honey through a Malleus investigation. Who needs enemies?

Hey, damn, Fortis is alive. I thought he was dead.
Damn, I wanted his boots, too. Oh well.

Hey, you were the one who said that a character death wasn't official unless it ended with 'he died'. And you're free to have his boots (or rather, the small cloud of ash floating around in the station's ventilation system that used to be his boots).

Good to see you alive, if not in one peace.

Hey, using a commissar's words against him is a capital offense.
Fortunately for you I'm not a commissar, I just play one on a web board.

What do people think of my glossia conversation?

Honestly?
Immediate response: "Holy shit! Glossia! Coooooooool!"

It was surprisingly easy. Word association and a few pieces of mutilated Latin (word association with High Gothic for in-universe consistancy) and it all makes sense.

by Petrosjko
Easy for you to say. The only latin I know consists of two phrases... 'Illegimati non carborundum', and 'Ave Caesar! Morituri te salutamas!'
Anyway, I go now. G'night all. Or day, as the case may be.

It was... interesting. What is 'glossia', exactly?

Inquisitorial code language. Generally each inquisitor makes one up for his team's use. Featured in the Eisenhorn novels. This is my character's variant.

Ah, I see. I was wondering if it was another Imperial language or something, like High Gothic.

They usually use pseudo-Latin for High Gothic. Adeptus Astartes, Schol Psychia, Officio Assassinorium, Ecclesiarchy, etcetera, etcetera are all High Gothic.

While similar things are in use across the Imperium, I'm fairly certain the term glossia is only used by that heretic Eisenhorn.

You're right. Lots of inquisitors have similar code languages and Eisenhorn named his Glossia. Maybe I'll change the name when I can think of a good alternative. There is always my spine crushingly heavy thesaurus.

I have a few questions:
1, if the Psycannon is the Malleus trademark and the Power Armour is the Hereticus trademark, what's the Xenos trademark?
2, do Interrogators always become the same Ordo as their 'tutors'?
3, naming contest! What's a good name for 2 Brute-like characters and one Vindicare Assassain?

The flamer is the Hereticus Trademark. And I'd say it varies for the Xenos.
2, do Interrogators always become the same Ordo as their 'tutors'?
No. Hell, the Ordos aren't even offical, with the exception of the Malleus. You can be in none, one or many.

Are there other Ordos apart from the big 3? If so, what?
I guess that the Xenos trademark would be some Alien weapon, or a weapon suited to killing aliens. Hrm. Any ideas?

Necrontyr flayer?
Oh, and again, sorry for no posts today, it's getting busy around here.

Names for your two brutes...
Hmm...
Gork... and... Mork.
Lessee, and for your assassin... Carlos T. Jackal...
My preferred weapon for the slaying of the xenos is the cyclonic missile, but you run into portability issues with those.

Just kidding. Please don't hurt me.
So how many Iron Men have you disabled in melee combat then?
Besides, if 2.4 Imperial Guardsman can kill a Chaos marine without losses, how hard can it be?
Note to Assassinorum headquarters: subject displays heretical tendencies, lack of respect for Imperial agents, and large deathwish. Recommend replacement of his loved ones with Callidus assassins who will administer 'accidental' wedgies at opportune moments.

Bah, 2.4 Guardsmen... it's an established fact that half a commissar can kill a marine.
No, wait, he was still three quarters of a commissar at that point.

Bah. You attempt to gloss over the fact that he was, at that stage, wielding an energy blade that could cut through anything.
Gork and Mork it is.
