I find Astaria's official name delightfully ironic

It is linked to their struggle against colonialism, and it used to be Free State (maybe I should retcon it into Free State). I am so far thinking that it was Shroomania who colonized Astaria, and the Astarians won a revolutionary war sometime in the 1840s or 1850s. I'm not quite sure why they wound up with South Velaria in that case though.
Also there is considerable freedom for citizens, its just that they also practise slavery. So in that way its much like Athens or the USA prior to 1865.

Indhopal and Vinish dudes, attention
CSR's most generous offer
If you don't accept that or at least reply somehow, well, let's say Zorin's tour has been totally futile and F-sue relations will be swept under rug for a long period of time.

The Duchy recommends that it's fellow FTO members Indhopal and the Vineyards accept the CSR's offer as members of the FTO, not as individual nations.

I'll be putting up a reply sometime soon.
Edit: Issues are complicated by the fact that most of the public, and al ot of government figures in Indhopal are not happy with the CSR at the moment. The popular opinion is that the CSR and Tian Xia are annexing nations for their own inscrutable ends. No Deals with Bolsheviks!!!! Hardly makes for a constructive enviroment however. Striking the right tone will be interesting to say the least.

I've got a major diplomatic message post being written, this thing is going to go everywhere, with everyone. So it may take a little while for the CSR's offer to get responded to, as it is going to be a part of my diplomatic blitzkrieg.
edit: Plus I have to write a paper tonight, so I might not be able to get to the diplomatic blitzkrieg.

FYI, The Shinra Republic joined the war, probably during the whole armada thing Coyote put in, as well as bomber strikes and all (since as usual events left me behind in making a post about it). Except instead of my ARGs landing Marines I ran them home and refitted the LHDs with ASW helicopters to defend against the SSANs. LPDs and LSDs are at home, I suppose waiting for the follow-on invasion (if there is one, which at this point doesn't seem likely).

Also, the CSR won't ever talk to Astaria (well, except by the way of the gun if our ships find Astarian slavers operating anywhere near our territory).
Considering our history, worldviews and the fact that slavery is the most repugnant remnant of a social formation long outdated, we are in fact the enemy of all and any slavers in the world.
So far we had no reason to turn an eye towards Astaria and it's ugly deals, but don't tempt us.

I've been thinking about something, wouldn't Tian Xia have to deal with sects in the government not too disposed toward the motherland?
From the story I remember, Westchester was rebelling from Tian Xia, so wouldn't ending that pretty much with a fizzle piss off major people?
I was just thinking about this as I write up Conference Blitzkrieg, and Diplomatic Blitzkrieg.

They possibly would, but Czech and Beowulf are dictators who won't shy from putting the majority of such people into camps, thus ending "opposition", which they reminded me every time we talked.

Manned spaceflight is not satellite launches, you can plot an orbit and ascent-descent trajectory which doesn't pass over Japanistan.

Yeah, but it's a huge bitch when the country is located almost directly on the equator. TLI happens from an inclination only a couple degrees above the equator, which means we will pretty much have to pass somewhere over Japanistan, or launch on a high inclination and waste ungodly amounts of fuel altering the orbit for TLI.
On the other hands, we don't lose much here: they will launch satellites from our facility, which means our technicians and our mission control. If anything, it's better if somebody launches their comms and spy satellites from your facilities, since it's impossible for them to prevent us checking them out

Cool. Oh, another thing: That radar mapping satellite FASTA will be launching? I thought we could release the data it collects for free.

Technically Tian Jiao was never in a state of rebellion. There was a bit of conflict over there between the two ruling houses, at which point the Emperor washed his hands of the colony. After that, Tian Jiao never failed to follow an order from the Empire, so long as the Tian Xia never actually gave any.

We will send an Angry Letter.
Dude.. you will get a letter for being lax on enforcing piracy laws and use of dangerous weapons. We'd instead advice you to clean up your own backyard, and not wait for others to clean it up for you.
Dude, I didn't even
make Shroompeace. It's just that everyone else is getting into the whole put "Shroom" into everything's name.
But, FINE, since they've got "Shroom" on them, I'll take responsibility.
I'll get rid of them, somehow.
EDIT:
Geeze! What's Byzantium's beef with Shroomanian foreign policy? We're
not complicit in any landgrabs - in Velaria
or the Old Continent - and we're not even making a peep when
other people commit landgrabs right in our backyard, essentially giving said people carte blanch to do whatever they please in their territories, from harvesting New Sumatran urine to testing microwave ovens on Goddamn Jewish untermenschen or deporting Batistasa Cubans en masse, or what have you. We're not waging wars in foreign lands, we're not establishing bases to extend our strategic military reach, we're even helping you guys in building airplanes and space ships
and even contributing to your defense plans and so on and so forth.
This stance against Shroomania is really irrational seeing as Shroomania has tried nothing but be a good neighbor to its Old Continental allies.
In short, you people are meanies.
And once again, Byzantium is sending its Teutonic Knights Templar into Shroomanian territory to kill people. Didn't we already
have that in Game 1? Didn't that result in Evil Albinos ruining Constantinople's shit?

Siege, you're not averse to having the Vineyards broadcast their own mass-produced televised garbage if we ever go through with that communications deal, right?
Why compete for dominance when we can broadcast shite happy
together, rite?

No objections whatsoever. We're not adverse to competition, and they could lease airtime on the network or something, netting us income in the process. And then once millions of gamers worldwide are hooked on Viintendo, we
jack up the prices to
outrageous fees! Ensuring massive profit!
(I kid! I swear!

Fuck you, slave-owning shithole man.
Shroomania is a wonderful place to be, and is funner than other wartorn crapholes, hypercapitalistic riot-ridden mephistophlebitic metropolii, or over-militant communistic/hellenistic un-fun places.
