Severa watched with awe as Nathan seized the marine's mind and had it turn its weapon on its lord. Which allowed her the opportunity to down one of those marines by blowing his head to ash with her plasma pistol. She grinned like a wolf. Inquisitor Talstem certainly knew how to shift the odds.

Mortragor parried Severa's blow with one of his Daemon Swords; Half-biological teeth splintered on contact with the Energy Blade, but the sword held. He began slowly working his was backwards towards the Cogitator, his Archaeotech armour glowing cherry-red from the bolts it was absorbing.

The thing was insanely strong, of course. If Severa hadn't been an expert with her weapon she would be dead already. She could really use Talstrem's help about now.

Nathan slid forward and , using his TK to augment the blow. stabbed Mortragor.

Mortragor yelled as the blade penetrated his back and spine; The only thing keeping him upright was his Power Armour. He twisted and shoved the Blade Bor'Agor into the Cogitator. It sparked and started to warp hideously as Chaotic energies writhed across it's surface.

Severa severed the arm with one sweep of her power sword. It was too late. Whatever Mortragor's reasons for stabbing that cogitator, he had succeeded.

"In the name of the Emperor I Rebuke you and your actions"

Nathan pullled his blade free and attached something to the fallen marines back.He turned and ran ,grabbing Severa in the process.

The vortex grenade went off sending the marine and cursed console elsewhere.

Hethor lead Gix towards the Engineerium over a trail of dead bodies. Three times they had encountered crew, one of them some kind of a security detachment. Hethor's plasma gun had finished most of them before the fight had begun. The mop up had been quick and brutal. They continued towards their target.

It was too late; The corruption had already spread. Gauges relined, steam burst forth from pipes and the entire station rocked.

"Commodore, the station's reactor is going critical!"
Lena's eyes bugged out. "Stationwide alert! All hands abandon station! All hands abandon station!"

"Rape it all!" Severa swore. "We need Lena or Lillith! If they can exorcise or drive out the daemon . . . ."

"Wait ..Daemon? " Nathans eyes hardened as he headed back in .

Or, alternately, they could be fried to a crisp as the Reactor started melting before their very eyes. It was probably a good idea to run.

Natha stoped and looked he saw the rad reading climbing soon it would be greater than his suits threshold. He moved back "Severa grab Lena and abbandon ship. That is an order"

He slaped a cntrol and droped a pressure door.

He didn't have to tell Severa twice. "Commodore, I've got orders from Inquisitor Talstrem to see you safely off the station. I'll rendevous with you at C-3." Damn, she hoped Talstrem made it.

The demon looked across, the pink fires had cleansed the years of abuse and accumulated matter from the surfaces of the armour, the corinthian style helm, and the carapace armour had been bonded with bronze and steel. Now the Marine looked like an angel of burning vengence, sent from on high, the fire surrounded the armour and the blade, with a speed none could track they struck their foe, with the rage of thousands of lifetimes. Elsewhere the Psi-king could hear the voices now, not a praiha but a ghost army of marines, lead by the Wrath of Sanguinus.

The Daemon, free from it's millenia-long torment in the blade, was having what could be roughly equated to 'a good time.'

Lena nodded and continued monitering the evacuation. "I'll be there."

Pater almost had to drag Prius onto his ship, but he managed it. Luckily it had plenty of room for the Arbites and other support personell, who were crammed in like Sardines. He took off and made a beeline for the Chaos cruiser, which was just finishing pulling itself free.

The PsyKing's eyes snapped open. "We have a Space Marine on board. I can't penetrate his mental defenses."
The Lord-Captain nodded and dispatched his best troopers to deal with Legion.

Adivan and Mekhatan were the last to squeeze onto Pater's ship, just before it left the doomed station. Adivan regretted the loss of his armour and most of his equipment, but considering the alternative, it was a price he was prepared to pay. Mekhatan had fared slightly better; most of his equipment was still on the planet below (and, thankfully, not in the Hive that the Chaos ship was busy tearing apart), as he had not been able to bring it up, so he lost only some medical gear and Web solvent. Leaving the alien mercenary to find a corner to occupy, Adivan squeezed his way through to the bridge and joined the rest of the Inquisitorial contingent.

Gix smiled. "Legion joined the party. I think our friend the PsyKing is going to be a little distracted."

Hethor said. "We should be just about there boss. Be ready to slam them."

"Turnabout's fair play," said Gix. "Let's mess with their engineerium."

The corrupted soldiers fanned out in a pattern designed for ambushing something with superior firepower outside the room that Legion was in.

Pater looked up at Adivan. "Adivan. Take a seat. We're headed towards a large and ugly sapceship that's just blasting it's way out of an hive."

Adivan took a seat and began scanning the various displays.

"So I see. Does this ship have the firepower to take it on? I'm not getting anything very specific, but the danger I can feel from that ship is far greater than from any Chaos escort I've ever encountered. And I most certainly haven't seen that class of ship anywhere, either."

"Not a hope in the Warp. I'm going to try to board it; It's busy shooting up innocent people."

Lena ran into the Docking Bay where Severa was waiting. "Sorry for the delay. We have to get out of here, NOW. When the Reactor goes-" there was another explosion. "You'll see."

"I see. Well, I have an associate who may be able to help in that regard, although he'll need some weapons. So will I, for that matter; all I have on me at present is my energy blade and a plasma pistol. Everything else is still on the station, and will become space dust any minute now."

The inquistionares now knew that the marine that had been LEGION was finally dead, what remained was the psychic images and memories of 10,000 years of marines passed down via the progenitor glands, a holy archon of rage now, a psych-out bomb of massive scale, where it walked ruin would die, hopefully the psy-king would face it before it had expended too much of it's finate energy amoung the slaves of ruin.
