Uhm, rereading the fight I think that it was at best (for you) a stalemate... You didn't win and the floater fleet is still standing, not to mention the fleet that went after you carriers.

Do I have to point out that you are the one who is shoving his fingers in his ears to keep from hearing that he lost?

Would you like a pacifier? Because you're acting like a little baby.
Thirdfain lost fair and square. If he doesn't like it he shouldn't have played.

So instead of replying to my vice you go to insults with your fingers in your ears... if you didn't wan't to consider losing a battle maybe you should of played with your models.

I didn't lose. You and Thirdfain just don't want to accept my technology (which passed mod muster) working. That's just too damn bad for the both of you. Now shut the fuck up and take it like a man.

I never said it didn't pass Mod Muster, I said that it won't work against him, that's what you can't seem to get through your head.

It would. You just and Thirdfain just don't want to face it. You're just being cry babies.
As Seaskimmer pointed out, it is perfectly possible to overcome EMP sheilding and those weapons were designed to do exactly that. Face it, all you have is a crybaby-ish insistance you can't lose.

So what you say when it works for you is "It can't work because it stops ALL of such and such." but when it goes against you itss "Theres a way to get around this, and you can't just make your ships invincable.

Stormbringer, let's go over this one more time.
You hit my vessels with:
1 fighter strike
1 conventional missile barrage
1 unconventional missile barrage (using exotic, jurryrigged weapons, of questionable potency, which had never been tested against Floater warships before.)
My fleet was larger than yours, mounting more PD.
And it is DESTROYED?
Fella, you need a reality check

My ships have distinct vulnerablilties and drawbacks. You've just made no attempt at all to deal with them. The kokand ships even more so. For some reason Mike's analogy about acid cannons and glass ships comes to mind.

Your vulnerability appears to be "endangered by one type of weapon which requires exotic, nonstandard technology, and which is oversized, combersome, and very short ranged."

Actually I hit your poorly though out and designed ships with 2 unconvetional missles barrages. And the missles weren't jerry rigged. They were tech from well in advance of that stituation.

Ah, I'm sorry. Not jerry rigged? so these pirates stole these missiles? or happen to have a large manufacturing facility, or factory ship? And made with what pre-existing technology? Obviously, you didn't have these weapons at the Battle of Terra.

Ok, back to the carriers... A Vampyre masses somewhere in the neighborhood of 8 MT. Combined with the escort cruisers, that taskforce massed around 18 MT. The strike cruisers against them massed a hair under 4 MT. Do you understand why they got creamed?

Ever heard of research and development? Or that they might have decided to keep from revealing this top secret weapon?

Again, try and read my posts you dumbass. There are numerous weapons that'd work. You just fixated on the worst possible one.

So 2 unconventional missle barrages is all that is necessary to destroy a gigantic fleet? Well okay then, next time we fight I'll chuck hundred of booby bombs that look like attractive females, you crew will all look to see and because they aren't manning their stations the ship collapses and goes boom. And incase you have your fingers so far in your ears that you can't take sarcasm you should understand that your explination of how your missles work is about as believable as to how your EMP missles wreck fleets even if they only knock out the power for a matter of milliseconds.

Just a hair under 9 MT acutally.

Gee, I'm sorry- I didn't follow the prearranged Galactic standards for warship size. I foolishly didn't read the thread entitled "Ship sizes, and how they relate to eachother." I foolishly posted my fleet before everyone else, following the sizes Phongn posted, instead of postiing drastically oversized warships as people found themselves doing a few pages later.
The numbers do not matter, and never have, since we are all working off of personal standards. Strike Cruisers are medium escorts designed to combat capital ships. Treat them as such.

With the right missles it is. And when you store anti-matter in large quanties shipboard any disruption in containing it will be catastrophic.

So you automatically assume they aren't protected for this, like Thirdfain assumed that you had you ships interdictor fields down? Now ain't that interesting.

We did. That's why they blow up so much.
Cramming a capital ship's armament on something the size and speed of an escort is going mean that you have virtually nothing in the way of proctection. Naval history has several excellent examples of vessels like that. All of the were absolute death traps in combat.

He assumed that the protectino could be overloaded, which is physically correct.
