I think so, too. If no one else wants to share a planet with us (and who would shy away from this highly enjoyable prospect? ), there's still the Americas and Africa for grabs.

I'm in. Still need to come up with a name... but it won't be terrestrial.

The power I had intended on using might be a bit too expansive for this setting, but I think I might be able to work it in.
What if, rather than using the Brimafel Preeminence (an Imperialistic conglomerate of enslaved alien species under the thumb of a civilization of hermaphrodites) in its entirety, might I play the role of extra-galactic invader? Let’s say that I begin at the head of a sizeable invasion fleet that has quietly been constructing a beachhead on the edge of the galaxy for the last few years. Naturally, I would have a less well-developed infrastructure than most players, but I would have more of a drive to conquer, and perhaps a bit of an up in terms of military might, as to be determined when we actually start setting up.
Curious cousins and brief flickers, the Straltoc Federation seeks to reunite with the parent species of humanity, bringing them the peace, prosperity, and longevity we now enjoy since our transcendence. While we do not understand your fear at the path our evolution has taken, no that there is nothing terrible about us. We are merely the next stage life shall take humanity. In fact, all life will eventually ascend to this form.

Order of Battle thread up, my own Order of Battle coming some time today. I figured if someone has to make it I might as well, since it lets me think of a silly title.

We need to set a point and industrial cost before I make my OoB. Any progress with that, or did I miss it in the last couple pages?

Thirdfain set it at 1500 points, 20/10/2 being average ship of the wall/cruiser/escort in terms of power-per-point. I am uncertain whether that includes ground troops, miscellaneous expenses, orbital defenses, and/or industry.
I was assuming it was all things, but now you have me confused.
As to the points, are these GeneraPoints, or are we using 2k6's template version? And is this a post-Imperial setting? I got a PM from Thirdfain that seemed to indicate that it was, but I don't know really. Anyway, I'm sure I'm not the only one straining at the bit to get my OOB written up, I'm just not quite sure how yet.

I've got some ideas floating about, but I can't start writing up my nation without some more information on the setting, or the OOB without the finalized point system. Aaargh, momentum restrained!

Hmm, I want in on this one. Be a terrestrial power, snag Africa while I'm at it. Be interesting to see a trektek interstellar power that dabbles in a little necromancy.

Some rough quantification on planets/population would be nice. An order of magnitude of human-equivalent population to shoot for, or major planets/minor planets/outposts kind of thing.
Well, In-universe each is a bit over Earths current population. Obviously however they would only be as big as I could afford to spend my points on.
Really, I just want to play Aliens.. Humans can be so boring when everyone else plays them
I'm guessing, factoring my in-experiance and the way the game may be ballanced... Even if I start off with my Alliance of Alien worlds, I'm still going to be on the same footing as the others here, I'll just have more diversity

How about 1500 points per nation, with 20 points representing an average capital ship, 10 an average cruiser, and 2 an average escort? Nation-size, how bout an average of 10 major worlds, population 50 billion in total being average?
This sounds great, 10 worlds is plenty for me to have all my aliens plus some extra colony worlds. But if this is going to be a point system like "Steam and Steel" we'll need a lot more detail on how to spend points, other ship sizes, spacestations, ground forces, etc.
As for OOB, I won't know that for a while till theres some mroe detail on the places.

I like this idea of splitting up Earth. I'd like parts of South America, mostly Venezuela and Brazil, Portugal, Most of spain, and north africa from say, Tripoli to Morocco.

This picture is completely irrelated to my real STGOD race but I'll be damned if I don't want to play this one. Of course I accept that it's too weird even for STGOD but the concept was so amusing and awesome I had to make a drawing to explain it to you guys.
And can someone link us newbs to the info about how to distribute points as not to be retarded? I would like to know how, and I'm not sure where to go digging in order to unlock their nuggety goodness.

First to distribute points, one must get points. Patience, wait for Thirdfain or someone else who is smart to explain how the points system works.
