He had worn the black flight suit anyway, so it hadn't mattered when he was offered a small orange one, Kettch waved it away and raised his hands to wave his things to the attendant loading in personal effects. He stared at the X-wing for a moment.
Shiiiiiiiny... He thought, moving to climb the ladders to the cockpit and hop in, taking the helmet as it was handed to him to draw on. He wiggled his feet in excitement before sliding them into the prosthetic limbs to properly control the fighter
"Eeeeh!"
He grinned broadly and started the pre-flight checks

With that Luke and Dak fire a tow cable and wrap it around the AT-ATs let.. tripping it

Carefully manuvered with repulsors, Kettch angled the X-wing and prepared for launch, he reached out jabbed the comms system and waited for the code to launch. He looked gleeful.
The word came and he sped out the hanger, off the ground and into the air with practiced ease, moving to the meeting point to redevous with the next transport, assuming a standard escort position along side the transport
"Grrrh...yub, yub...Erhb, Yub yub!"
he uttered through the Comm system to his wingman

Kettch didn't break from Escort but he knew that it would require some amazing luck to sneak by a star destroyer unharmed. He prepared himself and gritted his teeth, holding the stick steady for now, ready to jink at a moment's notice

I try to crash as close to the Hoth base as we can, then climb out and run like hell for the transports.

Luckily, it is a capture mission
*rolls tractor beam rolls aganst transport*
The transport manages to avoid being tractored, but the ships light guns are traineed on the X-wings and your wingman explodes in a sea of... vapor...

Kettch looks over in alarm and jerked the stick to try and jink the sea of bolts coming down from the massive behemoth, trying to stay cool under the barrage and keep his life intact

You jink upward, one bolt pases under you, barely

Another barely misses you
(Evasion =*1 d20=18+12=30)
One misses by a wide margin as you corkscrew to the right
(Evasion =*1 d20=16+12=28 )
One of them... the gunner must have been sleeping...
