"Very well Mr. Olsve that's all for now." 114(Lt) will signal for 147(Medic) to take Olsve away and stick him under cover and out of the way.

When the rocket team returns, 114(lt) will hold a mission briefing.

"Alright troops. We need to find the backdoor to this place.(Assuming the rocket team didn't see it while they were out.) Otherwise, we'll have to do it the hard way and assault the bunkers. Since the commander is injured, his objective is eliminated. Things have changed a little bit, and it doesn't matter if the hange doors open or not. In fact, I am counting on being able to open the door. We now have access to a getaway ship. I'd rather fly than walk. Once we secure the info, we'll rally on the transport, check it over for traps and crack the onboard computers. If the doors open, we'll fly out and find a place to hide until our other transport shows up. If we can't get the doors open for whatever reason, then we'll stick with the regular extraction plan."

Upon reassembly of the squad and after moving to the back door and waiting for nightfall. "Ok. 312(Sabot), 147(Medic), 529(Assault) and myself are going to take out guards at the entrance. We are going to sneak up and use the slugthrowers and 529 is going to toss in the a gas grenade. 424(Tech), see if they get a message off, we can't start jamming yet. 454(Sgt), 661(Sniper) and 735(SC) will cover us in case something goes wrong. If we get in queitly, we'll proceed with the plan by firing the rockets, starting the jamming, blowing and entrance and killing everything we see! Let's go!"

As 529 began preparing for the assualt, he let himself a small grin. Finally, we get to some action.

After blowing through the back door's defences, the squad makes its way up the turbolift and stacks on the breach point. 312(Sabot) will use detonite to make the hole in the wall. 424(Tech) should have his jammer ready and 454(Sgt) and 147(Medic) should have rifle gas grenades ready. "I'll trigger the rockets, give them a few seconds of flight, then 312 will fire the breach charge and then everybody is on." 114(Lt) will fire the remote for the rockets count to two and signal 312 to blow the charge.

Before we go ahead, I'm going to post the modifiers I'm going to use
for the battle scenes.

7D Standard Blaster Skills for everyone except the Sniper, who has 9D.

I'm just going to use Blaster Skills for this, because I don't want to
drag us all down in overly complex formulae, and because this is my
first time actually GMing

Ranges:
5m - Easy - 6-10 Roll
10m-25m - Moderate - 11-15 Roll
50m-100 - Difficult - 16-20 Roll
Beyond 100m - Very Difficult - 21-30 Roll

Modifiers
Light Smoke +1-3 to roll
Thick Smoke +4-6 to roll

Target Moving Slow +1-5 to roll
Target Moving Fast +6-10 to roll

(NOTE: All your helmets have Stormtrooper-grade MRTAS, which helps in low visibility
and to help hit moving targets, so target penalties are changed to the following)

MTRAS Light Smoke: +0
MTRAS Thick Smoke +1-3
MTRAS Slow Moving: +0
MTRAS Fast Moving: +1-5

Hand/Arm Wound for gun arm +6-10 to roll

Wounded +1-5 to roll
Seriously Wounded +6-10 to roll

Enemy Rankings:

0: Untrained militia. (2D Blasters) Capable of doing one thing at a time, very slowly.
Liable to do unpredictable and unplanned actions at any time (fleeing in blind panic,
massacring civilians out of hand, failing to carry out the most simple of tasks, etc)

1: Trained militia. (3D Blaster) (Capable of doing one thing at a time effectively,
or two things at a time slowly and with difficulty. Can sit tight and
hold a position with some ease, but finds it much harder to both move
and fight.

2: Competent professional. (4D Blaster) Capable of doing two things at a time
effectively (move and fight), and more than two things at a time with
difficulty (conduct a fighting withdrawal). Can take simple positions
effectively, but gets snagged up on complex defences (such as those
defended by troops capable of counter-attacks).

3: Well-trained professional. (5D Blaster)

4: War-weary professional. (6D Blaster) Capable of carrying out anything you want
them to, but only too well aware of their own mortality, and well able
to calculate the risk calculations. Likely to avoid putting themselves
into harms way.

With low whumps, the PLX-2M tubes on the surface several clicks away, came to
life and fired their motors, wreathing the area around them in smoke and flame. Within
a second, they were passing Mach 3 and in on their final terminal dives.

The Rebel officers in the Control Tower on the very top of the base barely had time
to comprehend what was coming, a bright flaming ball in the nighttime sky, before
their lives were blotted out by the warhead's detonation. All over the topside of the
base, dozens of men died or were maimed in blinding flashes.

As the shockwaves from the detonations rumbled through the base, 114 slapped 312
on the back.

"FIRE IN THE HOLE!" yelled 312 as he initated the shaped charge's trigger.

*BWAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWOOOOOOOOOOOM*

As the door's shattered remains exploded outwards, 454 and 147 readied
the gas grenades, and fired them through the smoking hole using the
rifle-grenade attachments on the back of the grenades to propel them
deep into the hangar. Within seconds, the hangar was filled with billowing
clouds of invisible, deadly Fex-M3 Nerve Gas.

[OOC: I'm gonna stop here, and let you guys do what you want, so that
everyone can get a turn in the fun]

Nothing to say but:

"GO GO GO!" With that, 114(Lt) will step through the breach and begin engaging targets.

529 threw in the gas grenades, causing a choking cloud of gas to quickly overpower the Rebel defenders. Moving further in, he readied his reapeter and started blasting every Rebel he came across, being careful to take cover, and introduced the Rebel scum to fully automatic, rapid fire burning death.

While most of the rebels were collapsing to the floor, dead, three
Wookiees had taken cover behind a X-Wing parked in the middle
of the hangar bay and were continuing to fire, due to their immunity

Current Situation after the first initial exchange of fire within seconds of
breeching the base:

Image

Green Stars is the rough area where you guys are now. I should have used a single green star by the lift to represent the fact that you guys
are still bunched up near the lift, but eh, I don't feel like going back
and redoing it.

Red Stars are live hostiles moving around (presumably after injecting
themselves with counteragents to Fex M-3) Red Xes are dead hostiles
that you guys have personally killed.

As sporadic blasterfire began to open up in the hangar, the
Storm Commandos slowly advanced, stepping over the
slowly-cooling bodies of the rebels who died choking to death
on their own vomit from the Fex-M3....

OOC, Round two of bang bang begins. the Initial breach has gone
without a hitch, now it's up to you slackers to EXPLOIT IT!

147 scanned right, noting what seemed like a guard shack of some sort near a cluster of landspeeders off to his two o'clock. Ducking behind a ferrocrete wall, he slid the grenade tube open with practised efficiency, dropping the useless casing to the ground with a clink barely noticed amidst the firing. His free hand went to his grenade pouch, selected another Fex-M3 round... then stopped and replaced it, taking an R6 round instead.

147 was grinning evilly under his mask as he slid the gas grenade home and felt the tube click into place, then set the airburst settings on the round to 30 meters. A burst of blaster fire took out the corner of the wall he was hiding behind, and as soon as he felt the blast, he spun out, sighted, and fired in one swift motion.

The Fex-R6 burst dully amongst the landspeeders, and soon the sound of anguished screaming could be heard from them as the mustard gas destroyed the Rebels' exposed mucous membranes, redefining the pitiful remnants of their lives as living pain.

529 fired at the rapidly spooling up Ready X-wing's engines to prevent a quick launch, and hoped that the resulting collateral damage would take out the few guards trying to cover the pilot's launch.

Roll 2: 3, 1, 5, 3, 3, 4, 6 = 25.
Total: 47

Difference: 6 points

529 cursed as the shots struck the front of the engine intakes and did no noticeable
damage, except for the engine pitch changing slightly from a low pitched whine to a
higher pitched one.

Then the whine grew in pitch, and the top starboard engine of the X-Wing exploded in
a spray of shrapnel, cutting into the two Rebel technicians who were helping prepare
the craft for flight and providing covering fire.

2 x Rebel Technicians with 2D Health
Roll 1: 4, 6 = 10.
Roll 2: 6, 3 = 9.

Roll 1: 2, 5, 5 = 12

The shrapnel turns the rebel technician closest to the X-Wing into
chopped nerfburgers, while the second technician who was
several meters away, suffered a nasty flesh wound on his left
arm.
