I would need to wait 10 hours before being able to buy one.

Reading the Gate Wars forum, it's cheaper to buy the 500k weapons and train super soldiers than the superweapon as this post runs the numbers. The amount of naquadriah spent for 1 superweapon for ~130k in action can train 17 super soldiers and 500k weapons with 200k action.

So not only is it more cost effective, you don't lose 1000 workers on top. Frankly, the fact that you have to "sacrifice" at least a thousand workers for one of them should flare in everyone's mind that it is not worth it at the moment especially if you have a low population of workers as it is. A thousand workers is a lot.

Except, with the superweapons, you can lend them to friends/allies, AND they have no casulities.

That's the only positive reason for it that I've read so far and perhaps the amount of naquadriah needed to repair is less though I can't confirm it. Other than that, if one truly needs to build his own forces, then they're better off going the 500k route.

Does one need SS to send it to a friend or is the option given when it is bought?

I'm fairly sure I suck at this version of the game. I can't even figure out how to increase my Naq production.

Aw well. 94 guys with time machines got me some profit today.

Increase your trained units. You can do this by combining increasing raw unit productions (make more babies, you damn space vampires!) and increasing raw unit training rate (get a job, you damn space vampires!)

Early on, it was fairly profitable to prey on people, but now it's getting harder. I'm gonna have to shift towards a camper economy soon. Sigh. So much for my top 10 spot I held for all of 3 turns. :P

You need SS to send it unfourtnately. :?

The giant superweapons are naq-efficient, but the 1000 untrained units does hurt. And yeah, they really do save on weapon repair by about 10x.

If I need to repair my hiveship pair for about 20,000, typically I need about 160,000 to repair the same amount of my next weapon, cruisers.

More news on the upcoming battle:

After speaking with Spoon, we have settled on a fairly simple strike plan: at 19:00 (game time) on Thursday, Spoon and his troops will being saturation attacks on the most powerful member of Crystalforce and work their way down. They will all launch several single-turn strikes, several dozen each, until they've done all the damage that can be done, and then finish with some sabbing to try and destroy their offensive weaponry. After this has been done to all of their top-ranked members, if they have any turns left, Seven will attack their lower level players, and use their remaining covert turns to sab anyone they can.

While this is going on, TFA and hopefully the Aeternal Knights will be launching independant attacks, probably mostly on the mid-level members. I will unleash my Alliance and Commander strikes on their top three at the start of the attack (no one knows what they do, I'm hoping for the best). As for all of you, those ranked 300 or less shouldn't feel to obligated to attack levels higher than them, although mutliple strikes on similarly-ranked members of Crystalforce would help. As for the following:

Sqbee
Npsid
Nephtys
Nalifan
Keka
KanoneZiel
Farscape
Big McLargehuge
Aust Garrach

I think it would be best if you attacked along with Spoon's force, single-turn saturation, mixed with sabbing on the highest levels. I should also probably find out who among them doesn't regularly read this thread (ie, isn't a member here). At risk of sounding too dictatorial, could I also get a roll-call of the listed people along with their Chaos names, just to be sure. I would also recommend building up some excess turns.

So, any questions?
I pray to Ishbala that no one on CFG was smart or preceptive enough to send a spy our way.

I may join in at 2000 Game time as I have a final that night.

In the mean-time, I guess I'll start pumping into offensive action.

Edit: Muahaha, I took all 6.7 million from a Crystalforce member.

Edit #2: I just broke 1 mil/turn. :D

Anyway, Aust shall get on the turn building up as well a striking.

It's me, and it's mostly just sitting in the commanders vault. I'm getting 63K a turn from you.

It was my weak attempt at political humor.

Might look at asking the admin for a little private forum all to our own. I know I sure as hell went in pretty quickly and found out all the info I could, and I think that CFG, if they concider this a war, will have done so as well. :?

Kanoneziel.

I'm rather weak in terms of covert- only 6 mil.

I'll ask, but I doubt we'd get one, considering the realtively small proportion of the board populace who plays GateWars.
In any event, I don't think they're alerted to an upcoming assault; my activities towards them have been largely limited to farming one or two guys so far. Let's just hope...
Kanoneziel.

Simply attacking will be quite adequete. Covert seems to be of lesser significance in CGW anyways.

Considering we've managed to confine ourselves in two threads, I do wonder... Only thing I can think of is that we HoS our threads although it's not HoS material.

Six million is more than enough. People buy it mainly to supplement the high costs of paying defensive action and so no one else would bother them if they're just "?????."
__________________________
I just downed two thousand workers on covert units(that's 8.2 million naquadriah and dropped my income about 60k) and got myself ranked 35. It should help with the attacks that have been continuously hitting me and I've increased my overall offensive and defensive action many times in which are now in the first million.

I'll continue to increase offense and defensive capabilities for the attack but after Thursday night, it's back to pop growth and worker rate.
