Bothan Spies report new clips on MF.com ... The first one features awesome scenes in lightsabre duals; Anakin vs Dooku, Palpatine vs Mace et al, Palpatine vs Yoda (mostly Force dual), and of course Anakin vs Obi-Wan.

It really got my blood pumping.

There are 6 clips all up.

Stop acting like a TF.net baby.

The tread is 'New Behind the Scene Videos: ... ' in the EpIII forum. Jesus, had you asked nicely, I would have linked for you too.

Yikes, its really wierd to see McDiarmid talk. Its like Palpatine's sitting down and having a chat with you.

Aaaaaanyway, clip 2 is about 'tying up loose ends', clip 3 is about Hayden putting on 'the mask', clip 4 is the scene with Anakin and Palpatine in the Opera house discussing, power, the Jedi and the Sith, clip 5 is the scene between Yoda, Mace and Obi-Wan about Anakin's assignment and clip 6 is, well the biggest and I haven't seen it yet.

EDIT :: Clip 6 is about the costumes (wardroab).

The part where he said he's waited six years do this movie? Yeah, I agree with you.

Very nice. I especially liked the gunship scene, of how it helps to re-inforce what we already know: the the Jedi failed to understand what bringing balance to the Force would entail.

Oh, and at about 4:17 in the bottom left corner, look for Lucas in his cameo, in the last clip.

Is this the first time we've seen a Mon Calamari in the prequels?

No, we saw some in the Senate for TPM, IIRC.

For those of you who were annoyed by that woman and her "Anakin shouldn't become Vader" rant, I found her blog (the link given in the BNN article had been deactivated).

http://cait-seyes.blogspirit.com/
GEORGE Lucas is about to receive a letter from my nine year old son informing him that his history of that famous galaxy far, far away is about as accurate as a light saber in the hands of an ewok.

Anakin Skywalker, my little boy's hero, was never tempted by the dark side, let alone fated to become its leading evildoer, and Lucas's attempts to cast him in that evil twilight have caused the Stars Wars writer and producer to grow horns on his head and develop glowing hot coals for eyes.

This week I explained to my son that he wouldn't be seeing Revenge Of The Sith, the final instalment of Star Wars, for two reasons - one because of it's reputed violence and darkness and two because seeing the hero of The Phantom Menace and Attack Of The Clones turn so breathtakingly evil, particularly when he is the idol of children the world over, is amoral movie making at its worst and a betrayal of childish trust.

So where was she when Vader was first revealed as Anakin Skywalker, former good guy?

Do you think that's really going to keep the son from seeing it? 8)

What an idiot.
She probably hasn't even seen ROTJ.
"It's too stupid. If Anakin was Darth Vader then Darth Vader couldn't have been so bad, could he? George Lucas is dumb".
Hasn't let her son see it either evidently. Poor kid.

I was convinced it was all a joke (like the anti-Two Towers online petition) untill the writer pointed out in her blog comment replies that the 'revisionism' babbling was in fact tongue-in-cheek.

So it's not the devious charade of a well-informed Ep III spoiler-watcher, it's just the moronically-construected complaint of some concerned parent trying too hard to complain about a movie that wasn't even rated for audiences her kid's age in the first place.

Man, I can't get over Yoda running his hand through his hair in that fifth clip. That's simply stellar character animation...

Who would've thought that crazy writer was interested in bioethics, Revenge of the Sith is just as bad as stem cell research according to her logic and beliefs :finger:.

Back on topic, wondering where this shot comes from, maybe after the Padme choke but I thought Obi appears from behind her not Anakin.

Yeah, I think that's one of several points where the fight kind of slows down and the two exchange dialogue.

Specifically, that's the TV spot known as "Tragedy 2," which IIRC, was first shown on MTV's Total Request Live.

These TV spots just keep getting better, with that one perhaps being the best one yet.

Great choice of clips, great editing, more Yoda animation that is simply stellar, and gorgeous music. I can't help but get choked up about halfway through after the chorus starts and the music turns absolutely tragic, around Yoda's line, and then again at the string and brass cues for the clips at the Battle over Coruscant and Battle of Kashyyyk. It's just so emotional...

Then again, maybe I"m just a soft-hearted sissy. ;)
