Put it this way... in Legacy the Ecclesiarchy was ready to go head to head with the arbites over a Rogue Trader charter that was signed by the Emperor himself. They were just going to claim it from the trader as property of the Ecclesiarchy.

Hey Pcm, every read S. Andrew Swann's Moreau series?

Genetically engineered intelligent animals created to be soldiers in the mid 21st Century. The trilogy focus's on the descendents on imigrants living in the U.S. and a plot that connects them all.

"Forests of the Night," focuses on a Tiger P.I.

"Emperor of Twilight," focuses on a Frank (genetically modified human) spook.

"Spectres of the Dawn," focuses on a Rabbit waitress.

"Fearful Symmetry," goes back to the Tiger.

Good stuff and it links to his Balkunin series which takes place several hundred years later. The Russians and the Chinese both engineered bears. Very bad ass.
