Well this is probably going to be it for me tonight. My self apointed part of the mission was to escort Zakaris to the Administratum anyway, and I really can't do that until Gaius gets back in tommorow. Good luck trying to talk to the hive gangers or whatnot. And I don't even WANT to know what you are going to do with those pants!

I'm thinking maybe he was contacted on AIM about the box's contents?

Exactly.

Right I hate discussing my character and not having them develop in game.
Hey now. Sorry about rushing. But Octavius has either two roles. If he's not leading a shock squad (which, this early in his career he hasn't had the chance)he's gonna lone wolf it and call in the big guns when they're needed. He trusts no one he doesn't know, much less anyone who isn't arbites or in the ecclesiarchy. And since he doesn't know anyone he's working for, he's going to find out as much on them as possible before he starts feeling comfortable being in their hands.
And with that bed time. This game is running much better so far than my other pbp experiences.

I actually like the fact your guy is a trust no one hardass arbiter. Makes the game so much more interesting to roleplay. And with that I really got to get to bed!

The quartermaster is available freely later on if you need military gear. Anything needed of scarce on down is usually easily bought from him, but it is military gear from that Guard base, and it's obvious. He can get some black market goods, but the prices are going to be increased, and you have to run it by me first.
If you want regulation stubber, shotgun, or lasgun ammo, it's a good a place as any to pick it up.
Oh, and there are no consequences whatsoever.
One of these things might be a lie.

Camillia is a Cadian void-born because she was born on a warship that was trapped in the warp for a couple decades. She was born shortly before it escaped and returned to Cadia, hence Cadian born and trained, but voidborn.

Also, a quick note, but unless you have literacy, you can't read. Just an fyi.
Additionally, since there was some confusion last night, allow me to clarify something. Hives are enormous. Hive worlds are like Coruscant, in that almost the entire surface is covered in multi-tiered dystopic cities. Individual hives can span continents. For reference, Hive Sibellus on Scintilla is 8,000km in diameter. Hive Callous on Achaos, where the group is now, is roughly the size of the continental US.
P.S. - Someone passed his bullshit check and did really freaking well on his "please spill your guts to me" check. Seriously. I was a little shocked when I was rolling dice and came up with a one.

Was it our anti-social arbite Octavious I wonder? I kinda thought the other arbite Octavious spoke to was being really helpful. I guess he is not just the conscientious sort who is willing to share information with anyone!

Well considering he had at least a 23% chance of passing it off it, it wasn't that amazing. Now if it was less than 10 I'd be pretty fucking surprised.
And I did mention that he wandered for a few hours, to keep with the idea that the precints was close by (probably a few kilometers or so so a 1-2 hour walk wouldn't be out of range no). I'd assume with his regular full action walk speed and coupled with the fact that the hives crowded area wouldn't count for difficult terrain he could have covered with at least 4-5 hours of walking around, trying to find out where he was and such he could have covered at least 120 kilometers. However I will slow down. Just tell me how much to gage and I will.

Why not? As far as I know there's nothing that says there are no cadian members of the imperial navy.
"Voidborn" doesn't necessarily need to mean born on a spaceship. If she grew up on one - and Cadian training, as we know, starts young - she'd probably have picked up the traits anyway.
Voidborn means she would mean from early childhood at the least and her background says warship, which means no Cadian Whiteshield training. Sure, her ancestors may be from Cadia and she might even remember the planet, but over 90% of her life would be on an Imperial Navy warship. So she sure as Hades wouldn't have Whiteshield training. She would be Navy, to the bone and have Navy combat training not Cadian training.

That was what I was trying to say. If Cadia has a naval fleet (which I presume they do) their children might go off to train with the Navy like they do with the army.

Just to be clear, I should be around most of the day today, so we can do the whole Administratum thing whenever all involved parties are available (Raj and Hotfoot?).

Unless she was perhaps borne to a non-navy crew member. All that's technically required for it to work out is for a Cadian to get preggers and go into labor aboard a warship. It needn't be navy personnel. If she was raised groundside she'd end up in the Whiteshield since you don't get plunked in there until the teens IIRC.

What they're saying, though, is that if she was raised groundside she wouldn't be Voidborn, regardless of whether or not she happened to be born in space, she'd be from an Imperial World (which, bizarrely, lacks a subcategory for Fortress World).
EDIT: Clarification

If someone could tell me what microbeads are and what they do, that'd be awesome.

Short-range vox headsets. They could conceivably take the form of little ear pieces with mics, or taped-down sub-vocalizing mics with separate ear pieces, or whatever.
EDIT: Or, of course, the little white curly cord snaking up from the collar.

The problem is with being a warship voidborn and claiming extensive Cadian background. If system monitor or orbital had been chosen, it would work, but having grown up and spent her life on a Navy ship the background would be Navy, not Cadian.
The fact that I want to fund our investigation by robing as ganger stash house is probably due to watching a lot of "The Wire" recently.

Looks like me and Verum may be on a collision course! Place your bets ladies and gentlemen! Seriously though, Lazarus would probably calm down quite a bit once he knows Verum actually has a plan and is not being an idiot.

Somewhere off camera, I spend a whopping 3 Thrones for two more magazines for my autogun (60 bullets), because I forgot to buy any ammunition beforehand. Down to 35 thrones.

If there is anyone without AIM, please do me a favor and register some sort of account with AIM. You can use any number of fancy clients, including pidgin, Gaim, trillian, and many others.
But please do it soon.
Also, Skype is good for voice chat if and when we get to combat.

Or Herc or Carver or Cedric Daniels. Stealing drug cash isn't just for criminals, cops can play too.

He actually explained the plan as soon as the Lt. left the building. Might've gotten buried.
