No, that's the top layer, it just cloaks the underlaying field that prevents any thaumic energy from being released, except internally. In other words unsupecting mage A comes into fields radius, prepares spell to distrupt Anti-Magic field, magic cannot get out of him, and is thusly released internally.

Good thing we can detect such a field. And summon the help of mystra, to wipe the field out trom the outside, you see, such a thing is an affront to the godesses ethos...and to get rid of magic, in one way or another, you need magic.

And that wouldnt prevent our more powerful spells from being released normally. No matter what kind of field you use, an attack of sufficient power will penetrate it.

Gods, we construct similar fields ourselves. What do you think a dead magic zone is? As a chosen of mystra, I can bypass them entirely.

You don't get it do you? Thaumic Energy cannot be released underneath the shield, no way, no how. The powers of a deity can be deflected, leaving your blessed Mystra powerless to help you.

You will be surprised at her power. Or perhaps of that of Tymora, whos favor I also hold. You may find the generator malfunctioning....lucky me.

Note: I am using the 3e rules for anti-magic fields which have the exact same properties as the ones you mention. As a chosen of mystra, I can release silver fire that will essentially, push back the field.

Now, mystra is an overdiety, and by worshiping Nitram, we worship her as well, and carry her favor.

So, Thaumic reactions are utterly negated? Such a flawed system. Allow me my rebuttal.

See? The Thaumic reaction is entirely outside the field, thus the only energy manifesting in the region is kinetic.

Uhm, that was the necromancy regulation field, not the anti-thaumic field which isn't even turned on.

The Anti-Thaumic field isn't even up, look we won't be fighting unless you try to take on my sphere of 600 systems, in which case not a thing would be able to hurt the Janeway ship, and the Ultimate Weapon would have to be used.
