Vicious wrote:Really? I stand corrected, then. Everyone I've talked has said "Bury" meant "Remove from the game". Ok, thanks for the info. What was the purpose of distinguishing between "Bury X" like Dark Banishing and "Destroy X" ala Shatter?
"Destroy" allows regeneration, "bury" doesn't. That's the only difference. Oh, and by regeneration, I mean the "X: regenerate" ability, not the general idea of bringing a card back into play.

In your example, lets say they're each targeting an artifact creature (since only creatures can be regenerated) with the ability "1: regenerate". Dark banishing would send it straight to the graveyard, with no chance to save it. Shatter would destroy it, allowing you to pay 1 to regenerate it and save it. If you did, it would stay in play, never even touching the graveyard. If you don't regenerate it, it goes to the graveyard. And regardless of which method used to kill it, another spell could later take it out of the graveyard and put it somewhere else (in play, hand, etc).

Now two other relevant spells. Swords to plowshares is simple, the creature would leave the game permanently, with no chance to save it and no way of bringing it back. Incinerate would deal 3 damage to it, and prevent it from regenerating for the rest of the turn.

And I think I was wrong on the replacement order. Looking through my cards, I think "bury" was actually the older version, which got replaced by "destroy and can't be regenerated".

I'd appreciate honest feedback. I made myself "artifact" color because I like earth/stone/geology, and didn't feel any of the 5 colors fit me. Also, I don't think I'm quite up to "legendary" colors.

Considering that Dwarves are generally red(underground) and red lands are mountains, I think that red would be your best choice.

Other than needing to change the border of Rebecca's card to match the Green mana you're paying for her... Perfect!
I hope she has played M:tG and can appreciate this :)

AotC: ICS

3Red, 3Blue

Legendary Artifact

Place a "Bitch and Moan" counter on each "Trekkie" in play. The controlling player must pay 4(any) and tap the "Trekkie" to remove the counter. While the "Bitch and Moan" counter is on the "Trekkie" they may not act.

Why is she a white card when she costs 3 green mana to cast? Other than that, cool card.

OK, in order:

CaptainChewbacca: yes, that's Rebecca. I guess you haven't seen my homepage. There's a Photo Album there.

LadyTevar: oops, thanks for the correction.

Rogue 9: no, that information is privileged. In order to get it, you must suck my penis.

mr friendly guy: see Ladytevar.

Glad you guys liked it :)

/me takes second look at Rebecca card.

Hmm. Let me check something...
Image
Yep. I knew it. Mike, according to the official M:tG rules, the card named in the text must exactly match the name of the card in order for that card to be affected. Since Rebecca clearly refers to "AdmiralKanos" and not "Admiral Kanos", it doesn't affect this card.

Just a nitpick.

PS, I have thought up my next abombination!

Actually, the AdmiralKanos card is wrong, because the username as spelled on the board has no space.

Many of these cards would really benefit from some selective blurring to lessen the pixelization. Here's one example:

http://img228.imageshack.us/img228/2171/admiralk9ib.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v324/ ... alk9ib.jpg

In the Gimp, you can do this by selecting the picture region of the card and doing a simple blur. By the way, this gives approximately the same results as using cubic interpolation when enlarging the picture in the first place.

Alternatively, you could go to the much higher-resolution source files for the images in question:
