The moment I'm revived(DS, send PCM downstairs :P) I can start making all these pretty zombies of yours into human beings.

To everyone headed to Reganbank, at the moment both of my characters are holed up in Maudley Building, which is next to what seems to be a zombie safehouse, as there are 6 zombies in front of it. So far I've nearly got my fireman up to his first skill.

Woot! Killed 2 Zombies today, back in my extremely heavily barricaded factory! Got my advanced pistol!

Going to save up enough AP to go hunting for ammunition, or maybe kill a couple more zombies, and get the barricade skill to start making my own safehouse somewhere. A factory is as good a place as any right now though, especially an extremely heavily barricaded one. My only concern is the heavy barricading might actually attract zombies.

At level 4 now woot, after barricade I'll set up a safehouse near a police station, attack from out of it and search for ammo at the police station when I get low. After that I'll probably get shotgun and advanced shotgun, then keep fighting and searching for ammunition until I get 25 shotguns and 50 rounds of shotgun ammunition .

<edit>Changed my mind, I'll probably get shopping then bargain hunting, and get the shotgun tech tree after these because I'll need ammunition to keep my levelling going.</edit>

<edit 2>So I have firearms, pistol, advanced pistol, and looking for barricades, shopping, bargain hunting, shotgun, advanced shotgun, all in that order</edit 2>

Sheeeeit. Somebody said there's a horde of 27 Zombies 12 blocks North. We're a huge target since this PD has like 50 other survivors. And there's been flares lighting up all day nearby. 9 Hours till Jogurt and I arrive 1 block into Reganbank.
DarkSilver wrote: After discussing it with Petro, any SDNSAG member who wishes to join both the Irregular's and the SDNSAG with the same character will be allowed, since we know most of you. Otherwise, we normally wouldn't allow it.
You are too kind. [Small Bow.]. I doubt there'll be any sort of conflicting loyalties. Or loyalties to SDNSAG in the first place but that's another story. [Although had you refused the vague nature of SDNSAG membership would have really made it difficult- even I can't wrangle The List into a coherant state despite about an hour of effort.]
Erik von Nein wrote: Ah, okay. I was only planning on sending one down that way, though. I was just wondering which would be more useful. My scout's near full health but, considering he starts with no combat skills, will suck for a while for fighting. My fireman, while nearly dead, is more useful for combat. *shrugs*

EDIT: Oh, and I'll give my fireman construction soon as I've got enough XP (as he's at +/- 25 that shouldn't be too long).
Fireman, then. If we get somebody with Construction down there, once we all organize I can send a scout down to the Secret Hideout I've chosen and see if it's occupied and/or barricaded. Take your time, I want the second stage of the plan to take a while to get to anyway.
SyntaxVorlon wrote:McDod, send me emails instead of PMs, Wong removed my PMing ability because I had a pissy argument with him.
Roger. Though I do believe your interpretation of my name is a first. Collect them all!

... So, did you win?

Maudley is just a few AP out of maximum range for me, but I'll probably be at the Anning Building. Once more people arrive in Reganbank we'll get to work at organizing by carefully weighing the benefits of every possible location. Or Eeny Meeny Miny Moe. Same thing.

I've got a medic over near Ridleybank. I'm making my way over, but slowly.

Ridleybank itself is pretty scary. I saw at least 50 zombies within a few blocks.

Ridley Bank is the home turf for Petro's zombie horde. Not a good place for the living.

I've never understood this- why slowly? Are your safehouses (or the "Close The Door" variety Ridleybank probably has nowadays...) being cracked constantly and you need to run every few hours?

Saving up a burst of 30 AP (plus whatever to find shelter) will get you three neighborhoods away from Ridleybank, which is nearly in Reganbank itself. If you can wait 15 hours in the same spot it's probably the safest.

Edit- Good, the PD I'm in is in lockdown (Extreme Heavy Barricade) now that there's like a bajillion zombies to the North. Hey, Petro, if you're reading this and this is your fault... When see Nvmerivs can you eat somebody else? :P

Because that's the way it feels, really. Also, lacking free-running I'm slightly paranoid about finding a good safe house.

Damaged another zombie, ran out of AP so I couldn't kill it but got some xp off of it. It seems the best way to play is not to log on for 30 minutes at a time per day, but to log on for 10 minutes maybe three times a day to take out as many zombies around you as possible so they don't stumble on your barricades, and only stock up AP when you need a lot to go searching for ammunition. But that's just me. I like it because it can put it down until the next day if I'm busy with schoolwork.

I forgot about the whole 100XP per skill for civilians, or at least for firemen. It'll be a while yet before I get my 40% hit rate for my ax.

Well I'm in Darvall Heights and stocked up on some ammo, so I'll try and kill another zombie, hopefully level up, and make it to Reganbank by Saturday at the latest.

Heading into Reganbank's outer edge by tonight. All right, so we have people in Reganbank already:

ShadeZ [Is he even a member?] [In Molebank?]
SyntaxVorlon
=Grandmaster Jogurt and I in a few hours
=HemlockGray in <36 Hours
=Everybody Else: Moving But Unknown Timescale

I've got a bit of ammo, if the Random # Generator will let me hit something. It doesn't really matter though, Reganbank isn't that dangerous that you need ammo if you're just making a dash for a safehouse.

Doing pretty well on the checklist considering it's only been a few days:
[X] Create group
[O] Get to Reganbank
[_] Get everyone to same general area in Reganbank
[_] Everything past that snipped for space.

The SDNSAG Member Roll (SDName, Charname, Level, Character Type) is now 56% Complete officially, but 92% of the blanks are filled in. I'll just do the rest of it once we meet up by checking profiles by hand.

One of my characters will be going to get pistol clips tomorrow, 4 clips per kill if I'm lucky. The other is staying in Reganbank to skill up. Hopefully I'll go up a skill level tomorrow and start really wailing on those z's. Possibly even get freerunning and construction in 4-5 days.

For all you 40k fans, there is now a 40k called The Redemptionists which operates out of Gibsonton. Most of us have created a brand new character for the group (all of them must have "Brother, Deacon, or Father" in the name), so we're all level 1 right now (except for one).

Have a very nice day.

On the 40K/Urbandead front the name of the 2nd Librium Irregulars is the Adeptus Exterminatus.

ZShade. Got a lvl 3 Fireman named Todd Sheffield currently bleeding to death in St. Jude's up in Molebank after a lvl 11 zombie ganked me but good. Couple of other folks in other parts of town, but he's the highest currently.

And member? Sure, why not. :)

Jogurt and I just made it to Reganbank a few minutes ago. Anning, our first choice, was Extremely Heavily Barricaded, so we're in the Maudley Building with SyntaxVorlon's two characters.

However, Reganbank Is Not A Good HQ. There are no PDs in Reganbank. No Ammuniton excepting shotguns in bars.

I have found a better suburb for SDNSAG right next to it, however, my specific ideal place will require Construction. Until then, I recommend you stay near the edges of Reganbank so you can enter other neighborhoods for ammunition runs. The North edge near Molebank is good for this.

I'm sorry,it's my fault I didn't check the map enough when picking a Rally Point. You're all allowed to call me a fucktard and such, but maybe this will mitigate it:

I'm not going to change the location yet. Not until all of SDNSAG catches up, and until somebody has Construction (a Medic would be nice too). It's about 12 times quicker and not dangerous at all just to hop a single neighborhood. It's able to be done in a single day, and there'll even be quite a bit AP left to do whatever despite the inconvenience.

EDIT2- Scout request recinded, Grandmaster Jogurt will handle the reconnaisance tomorrow.

Edit- Bolded for emphasis because I like how annoying it looks.

In world news, 40 Zombies from the Ridleybank Resistance Front are preparing an assault on Stanbury. Sucks to be them. And that, folks, is why we're in the West.

You better, 40 is what they have now according to gossip in Daynse Alley PD. It'll increase if it's not a feint. Gossip also said it'll be 4-5 days before they start but you never know if that's true...

I'm tempted to join that as "Brother Gaius", though I'm only moderately aquainted with 40k beyond basic knowledge. Any specific class you need should I get the urge? [Fireman would be interesting with my Power Axe...]

Being a PKing asshole in one account doesn't do anything to change to the fact that you're a model citizen with altruistic motives in another one, right?

Edit- I nearly fucking clicked "Jump out of a goddamn window" forgetting I was in a generic building instead of a lootable PD.

Medic is not an essential early skill. Getting 10hp instead of 5hp out of a healing kit is fine, but earning xp by hitting more often is better and free running and construction are crucial.
