So, shall we restart or not? I'll wait for the updated file in case of yes.

Might as well mention that I updated my shipset as well. Download at your leisure, I guess; I just changed the color.

Anyone else need to redo their empire? I'm gonna sleep now. I'll set up a new game right now and replace the current turn.

Edit: Turn uploaded. New turn up now. :P

Also, it's Malakari LLC, as in Limited Liability Corporation.

Well looks like the supply problem isn't as bad as I first thought it'd be. Neph's solar panel means even with Tier 0 solar panel and Fission Engines at their most inefficient, you just need a solar panel every five engines to deal with supply. For a fission engine I that means effective engine increase in size of 180%. But that's okay--as the solar panels get better and the engines get more efficient and the ships get bigger, supply should become less and less of a problem.

It could be a big problem for really large ships with 40 engines though.

I was wondering if anybody was going to try a magic race. It seemed like almost everybody was going for normals.

I think we've got a magic, an organic, and a nomad right now.

Well I'm an organic, and it's a pretty safe bet that Tobor is, too, since he took the United Flora shipset. Did you decide to be nomads after all or is it someone else?

I think Kojiro's playing Nomads, to explain the odd scores. Or he could just be naturalists.

I'm naturalists! We, of the Cybertronian Union do not allow our kind to devastate and harm worlds for their resources. That would be evil and all Megatron like.

I was surprised pretty when I saw you take the Cybertronians. The full mechanoid tech tree isn't available yet, after all.

Don't get me wrong, though. I like the Transformers and it'll be interesting to have them in the game. Plus, this galaxy obviously isn't short on evil bastards, so it's good to have someone like Optimus Prime leading one of the nations. :)

I took 'magical race' with mechanoid tech, though I have zero magical traits. The only thing I got out of it was 'stoic crew' cos of the crazy space alterations transformers do with their sizes.

...what? You have the magical tech tree at least, right? So you can you know. Build ships?

I think he means he didn't take any of the extra tech trees that are available only to magical races (e.g. abjuration...I think). There's no way taking the mechanoid tech tree would stop him from building ships or anything.

...evil bastards...
I count one so far. Okay two. And I might be an evil bastard too.

Okay there's a lot you happy haha.

Let me guess Kojiro aerial race, mechanoids etc. for your extra 3000 points? Or base stats?. Naturalists is really good for nomads or pirates, not really that great for anybody else...

<edit>Me on the other hand am down 3000 points for both bonus move points. If I don't grab territory fast I'll be way behind! :P</edit>

This is a paradise galaxy, isn't it? If it weren't, it would be entirely possible that your strategy could fail spectacularly, but I suspect that you'll wind up being the big, looming threat as usual.

Nope, not an aerial race. I do have good stats and I *thought* I took the bonus move though it seems to not be appearing on my ships.

This game isn't being taken overly seriously by me. I've done no research, I just want to play with my Transformers. :)

It's a cluster galaxy. My strategy might fail spectacularly because there's no real room to expand if someone fortifies their wormhole faster than I can plant something.

You get PE engines, propulsion expert engines, one more point better so that's why you're not seeing it. The other trait gives you the bonus move point.

Damn you Guppy! I had that one to begin with but he convinced me to take the other saying they were identical.

They are :P.

Just that you don't see it. Click off "only latest" and you'll see what most people have... -1 move point engines while you have the better ones.
