Seriously, someone said that?
That's one of the stupidest things I've ever heard (okay, not really, but only because I've heard LOTS of stupid things).
Have they ever even watched the Prequels, Clone Wars, or even ROTJ with Luke lifting 3PO in the air?

A part of the EpIII novelization would seem to indicate that TK is more difficult on living tissue than on inanimate objects.. in the part on the
Invisible Hand's bridge where Obi-Wan opens Grievous' hand, causing Grievous to drop the lightsaber as he strikes, it states that the material of his hand has no will of its own.
An exact quote will follow later today..
General Schatten wrote:You're off a bit Cykeism, only Force Grip was changed to be made usable on Droids, Force Strike has always allowed that, however, in the same Errata that made this change, Force Strike was changed to allow usage on living beings without incurring DSP's.
Whoops, my bad. I meant that recent changes allowed Grip to be used on droids, and Strike always could be.
As for the Wampa cave, Luke tore the lightsaber out from a block of ice!

I'm pretty sure it was a pile of snow, not a solid block of ice.

Hrm.. then the initial difficulty could have been Luke getting his land legs (so to speak), seeing as how he was still a noob.
On viewing I thought the buried end of the weapon was frozen in, and Luke had to pull and jiggle it about to free it.
Of course, it's probably the former.
