Some articles I've read suggest there might be several steps per kill (setting up your sneaky-ass approach etc), but since combat is to be avoided I imagine it'll be like the better Hitman levels: cruising around planning, a kill, and then running like a crazy man. Shame no uzis or disguises, though.
Wasn't there a scene in the trailer where the assassin is dressed in Christian armor?

On a similar note - how fucking hot does Splinter Cell Convictions look like it will be?

Bah, I bet that IS super-hard mode. If you die in one hit on normal, I'll be utterly shocked: most people don't like that sort of thing.
Personally, I wouldn't play this game on anything lower then - the vaguely realistic resistence to death tickles my fancy. I want to pull through combat on the back of my skills with this games (frankly awesome) combat mechanics, not because I can tank a Knight Templar's blows.

Although, fucking with archers would be nasty ... until you get close enough for some backfist-off-rooftop action. :D

Fucking with Archers should be nasty. Though I always find that I lack proper situational awareness for this kind of high-lethality environment.

Just can't follow from a 2D screen in what creative ways four or five people are trying to kill me right now.

Yeah! I see the light now! I gonna implant myself with a situational awareness enhancement package: install eight-way directional speakers into my earlobes, replace my right arm with a direct control interface and modify pain receptors so that I can feel pain and air movement on my skin!

...or just choose the "giant pussy" difficulty level :P
