I get an "unable to load game" error every time I try to start it up. :(

Are you using DJASv8 or the old v6? Also, sometimes I get that error, but then quitting and restarting the game fixes it.

EDIT: Also make sure your SE V version is 1.44

I'm using v6. I wasn't aware that there was a v8 yet.

There's actually a v11, but v8 is good enough to use, and constantly changing the version before a game infuriates people. v6 had some issues.

Oh, I think I know why. Nephtys is using a custom shipset. Did you install that one? I linked to it in the post on the last page.

Finally managed to get it to work. I installed the new version of the mod wrong. Thanks for the help anyway. :)

I'm not really seeing an outpouring of enthusiasm for this game, what with 1 turn being churned in 3 days and all. Should I go to the various SE5 forums and drum up some more players or should we just table this game until more people are interested?

I'm calling this game. There's clearly no interest right now. I'll try again by posting on the SE Universe forums after I come back from vacation in mid-August. Also, you might notice that I went a little overboard with planetary shielding in this version and that bombardment mounted weapons only hit with 1/100 shots no matter what (I had assumed they had fixed the SE4 issue where -% to hit was subtracted after everything else so that with -100% to hit you never hit, even if the other ship has -googol% defense).
