We should go there and TRY and show them common sense. Otherwise these poeple will grow up continuing to believe that BS. And raise another generation of fundies.

from the look of everybody's response I guess either one will drive us crazy.

Sounds like my classroom where everyone seems to be creationists and has stupid arguments against evolution. The teachers included.

Just look at this awful piece of idiocy I found on that site.

"Ok, I'm a Christian and I would like to challenge the Athiests on this site (mainly wallpaper). Ok, here goes. If there is no god, why should we wear clothes? The only reason for wearing clothes, besides to provide warmth, is that we want to cover our bodies. Everyone (well, almost everyone) thinks that it just isn't right to show your body parts. But why? According to the Bible, Adam and Eve didn't wear clothes untill they sinned. Then, they had to wear clothes to cover themselves because of the sin (I'm referring to sexual sin in that sentence). So why do Athiests think we should wear clothes? Please reply to this if your an Athiest."

Make sure to quote and/or link to this site often. We need a resident creationist to beat the shit out of.

Athiests want people to wear clothes because there aren't enough hotties to counterbalance the land whales out there who let too much of their bodies show as it is. Saw a 300 lb woman in a tank top yesterday. Wanted to light my eyes on fire. If she had been naked, I would have.

I just told them to come here. I said we were all nice and accepting and "just wanted to know about creationism".

But they check everything before it goes up! I hope the moderators don't actually look at this site before they come.

I figure that they need it. I'm doing them a favour, taking them out of their cosy little ignorant, backwards Christian world.

There's always a bigger fish 8)

Anyway I find it intresting the three way thing we have going here, or to put it into this form

"Savages"
Happy the way there are but they are bother by the

"The Church"
Convert the Savages or they will go to Hell even though

"Logic"
Chuckles at the Church

Because
"The Savages"
Says Logic
Have just as much proof for spirts in the trees as you do for Hell

"The Church" in return
Has them all burned at the stake or stoned as Herticts

Damn! the church is nasty.

I had a dream once that a priest dude was trying to kill me because I was pregnant to a savage. (Don't ask. I don't know how it happened. The dream started with me like that.)

Mainly so we could laugh at them. Are any of us really in serious danger of being converted by dumb-ass little thirteen-year-olds?

Remember, they're much the same as people who say "but ST ships are better than SW ships because they use antimatter in their warp cores, but SW ships have a crappy fusion reaction."

Or perhaps I've just lead a sheltered life. I've never met a Christian fundamentalist, Don't even know where they live. I may have underestimated the danger.

That's because you're in Australia. In the States, the fundamentalist Christians run rampant. They all live here, it seems, and I've met plenty of them. A few are actually intelligent people who just have a blind spot when it comes to their faith. Critical reasoning applies to everything but Christianity for them. They just can't fathom the concept of a godless universe, so everything starts from the assumption that there is a god because society has indoctrinated them so thoroughly.

The only thing harder for people to fathom than God and his works is the concept of no god.

So the US is like a giant Queensland... unfathomable accents and a higher than average percentage of fundamentalists.

The evolution one was painful, but not as the prayer in school one. People thinking everyone should be lead in pray every class. Then they go and try to seperate Evolution from school cause they believe it to be religion. And they think prayer isn't allowed at school, when it's just orginized prayer and seem to believe everyone is christian. I don't know, maybe they live in some 100% white suburb school, but my school has a lot of Hindu, Jew, and a few muslims but not really hardcore muslims, they don't pray 5 times a day to mecca. I swear to god(heh heh) I want to take a pipe to all these kids, not for their religous beliefs, or the ignorance about religion, but the sheer fact of HOW ignorant these preppy bastards are to everything.

Mr. B, you have my sympathies. On a side note, Christian fundamentalism may be why half the world hates the US.

That's a wierd thing to say from someone who comes from The City of Churches

Well the states were founded by those seeking freedom from religious presecution in the Old World. The irony is just too much! :D

Seriously though, my only problem with my own church, I am a Greek Orthodox Christian (equal oldest church in Christendom), is it's uncomprimising nature of who gets to go to heaven and who gets to go to hell.

For examply Christ said; I am the alpha and the omega, and the only way to the father is through me.

Now obviously I paraphrased however if we listen to this message that means that no matter how pious and good you are in this life, if you do not believe in Christ you go to hell! no ifs, no buts. This to me seams unresonable, tha Dalai Lama dies and then god says to him, you didn't believe in my son, and even though you have led a pious and examplary life...<Cartman voice>You go to Hell! You go to hell and die!</Cartman voice> This to me strikes me as rather unacceptable behaivour.

Mind you since the Dalai Lama is always reincarnated this will never happen so disregard all I have said....
