WOTC probably hates Saxton with a passion such that they probably never admit to the Mandator's existence.

They had Star Dreadnought as the Executor's designation and refered to the Viscount-class Star Defender as a dreadnought.

That's miles better than most SW authors can muster.

I guess you didn't see their attempt to retcon the ICS.

That never happened and it shall not be mentioned ever again.

:p

Incidentally, before the Wookieepedia edit function was blocked earlier today, I was busy making the first step at improving the ancient and much maligned "ship classification" article, by going through Starships of the Galaxy for info.
Some weeks back I became aware of a slightly brilliant invention by WOTC, their own version of a standard classification system:
SOTG wrote:21-50m
Starship: Small, Space station: Fine

51-100m
Starship: Medium-size, Space station: Diminutive

101-250m
Starship: Large, Space station: Tiny

251-500m
Starship: Huge, Space station: Small

501-1,000m
Starship: Gargantuan, Space station: Medium-size

1,001-5,000m
Starship: Colossal, Space station: Large

5,001-20,000m
Starship: Colossal, Space station: Huge

20,001-100,000m
Starship: Colossal, Space station: Gargantuan

100,001-200,000m
Starship: Colossal, Space station: Colossal
This isn't as ideal as the proper warship classifications of the real world, but it's nice that an LFL affiliate recognized the relative abundance of big ships and station IU, and decided to incorporate more than just "cruisers = everything above 400 meters". This is from a book that still did the 8km thing, but it's not too shabby anyways. And they explicitly say that all of a ship's systems are based on how big the ship is/what its role is, thus negating the moronic "lol ISD reactor is teh biggest!!!111".

Leaving aside all question of canon, it sounds like a pretty neat adventure to me. A lot of parallels to ANH/RotJ, a lot of revisting exotic EU planets...I'd love to play it, simply from an RPG gamer perspective.

(Of course, this is just a neat summary: the adventure could still suck.)

It sounds like it's going to go over a number of IU years, but begin about half a year after the CW ended.
