The sooner people realise that things like this are done for entertainment purposes by fans, and not by Paramount/ILM etc the better. There is nothing more annoying for someone who makes a movie than someone bashing it because of the outcome. Personally it wouldn't both me who win; I love watching space battles and I am in debt to anyone who makes these movies come true. As should we all.

Tell me this if I made a movie about a six year old with a Broad-sword who kills legions of the NYPD and American Marines would it annoy you?

That would depend on whether the movie was entertaining or not. When I watch fan films, I look at the technical quality, and whether or not it is entertaining. After all, it takes a while to download them on a dial up connection. I would rather not waste my time downloading a poor quality film.

This thread was pointed out to me by someone, as a amature 3D artist, I was interested in what would be said about the film. I was also interested as to what would be said about the film by a bunch a fanatical Warsies.

I must admit, that my opinion of you is confirmed by your responses. You shouldn't worry to much about that, though. My opinion of fanatical Trekkies, Fivers, Rommies, etc is about the same.

As for your opion of me as a Fanatica Warise you sir are saddly mistake to call me a Fanatical anything is a gross misuse of the word but thats just a symantical point, in the paritucle relam I realy care what your opion is of me besides the fact its a pre-concied notion you have of me which I can exploite for personal gain if I so chose, at least in real life, however here on the vast reachs of the Internet and this smaller area of this BBI Board it simply lets me know that your coming into any posting with pre-coviced notions that apporch Darkstar levels in unchangeable impressions and mearly shows me your a weak debator.

The movie was trite, the scalls where way off and it can be a wank fest with one Voyager Vs 5000 ISD's and hell lets throw some Culture ships in there too and have it kill them all with a single blast
It still makes it a bad movie
My point stands its a terrible flic, besides scalling inatropate music chocie, blurry graphics though excelent animation of the Voyager its lackluster in everything else and, yes note the AND it happens to be a Trecky Wank Fest

Ok at least you stated an opinion here ... the movie is a Beta I believe, and is not the finished article. However, I would like you to understand that to get to this level of quality takes hundreds of hours of dedication, so cut the maker some slack and give him some respect for it.

A mistake on your part, I haven't repeated myself. Of course, you may be geting your posts mixed up with mine. I can understand that.

As far as my intelligence level goes, it does seem to be a bit higher than yours.

Actually, I haven't called you anything except unintelligent. In my previous posts, I was refering to "Fanatical Warsies" as a whole, and used "you" in the editorial sense, not the personal. Of course if you are so paranoid, that you (this time used in the personal sense) have to take it personally, there is nothing I can do about that.

At last, something substantial, other than "The ISDs didn't win".

The film was done by an amature artist/filmaker. If it were technically perfect, I would be even more impressed with his skill. As I am sure you would have been. However, it makes me wonder, with your previous posts, whether that would have made any difference. It seems to me, that unless the Star Wars ships are shown to be superior, you wouldn't like it anyway.

I also note, that you could have used an edit funtion, too. Which seems odd, considering that your previous posts were fairly well made, with no typos, and very few grammatical errors. Do you lose typing skill as you get angrier? And yes, that was an attack on you, but at least I will admit it, rather than call the pot black.

Okie, he is allowed to make his own movie, even if it doesn't fit with the results of the scientificaly based comparison done between the two universes.

I think he's wrong and ignoring the evidence though, but he isn't required to follow it either.

Ofcourse if he is the kind of person that loathes SW and made this to try and piss warsies off or something, I most definitly will think of it as a "trekkie wankfest" as someone said.

Ofcourse the only real way to solve this is to make a movie like this, except inversed, and post it and measure that reaction, and it should be posted in the vs. debates on SB then.

We will then have a mirror scenario to compare with.

Personally I am in doubt that all the people really thinks that it's just for enjoyment and a hobbie and so on, I think there is definitly a few people out there watching that movie feeling real good to see SW being beat.
I mean with vs. debating and the bad blood that comes of it, ofcourse some people are just loosers who are way too serious about this.
That problem is called sci-fi envy, very similar to penis envy.

I'll come back later with an actual comment on the movies quality, I think I already made it clear I did not like the story.
